well I am a very avad Motorcyclist and last year comming home from an event in Oct. I was in a major fall storm. After about 4 hours with my engine running worse and worse I began to be afraid for the first time in many years instead of asking GOD to ride with me in haste or fear I said in my helmet please GOD got me out of this one OK and I will be done riding. I have never broken a promise to GOD before and this is bothering me greatly. I want to ride again after many months of not riding I realise how much a part of my life it is. How can I rectify this situation

Brother that is just another yoke of bondage you have allowed to be put on your own shoulders....(satan oft uses our own fears and failures entrap us, it doesnt matter how he takes away our freedom, as long as he succeeds) Recognize this for what it is, and cast off this yoke, and keep on riding...

Christs yoke is [always] freedom.

Satans yoke is [always] bondage.

Gal 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

Mat 5:37 Just say 'Yes' or 'No'---anything else you say comes from the Evil One.

I agree. The bondage you placed upon yourself came about because you believed that God would only help you if you did something for Him first.

That was the deception that placed you in bondage. You made a promise which God did not require of you. God loves you and died for you so that you would be free.

You are free to do all things in Christ Jesus. Riding your motorcycle is not a sin. Don't allow the enemy to take your freedom.

I believe that if you just speak to God, tell him that you regret your misunderstanding of His character and love. Ask Him to reveal your freedom in Him, and then press onward daily in what ever God gives you the freedom to do, always acknowledging Him in all things.

Get in the word so that you will know who you are in Christ, and pray asking God to reveal all things to you that He wants you to know. Surrender your will to His in all things.
