I have given myself to Jesus. But I have made a mistake in the past 2 weeks. I work for a company that sells stuff for a large corporation. We sell phones.

There are phones that were supposed to be sent back to the corporation, but had been sitting around for about a year. We called the corporation and tried to get return kits sent to our store to send them back multiple times, it never happened. I took the phones from the store and sold them for gift cards.

Then we had a promotion, trade in your old phone get a phone for free. I traded in a phone I had laying around for a customer to give them a free phone, and took their old phone and sold it again, for gift cards.

This is a complicated situation as I don't know what to do. I didn't steal from my employer, just the parent company. I have not been caught but I have massive guilt. I don't know how to proceed.

Please give me advice

What a mess you have gotten yourself in @Fixxxer

It cannot have been easy to share this, equally it isn't easy to reply, we do so in His Love brother.

First and foremost come to God through Jesus, in Jesus Name, pray for forgiveness from God and for guidance what to do.

You are sharing the situation and seeking help, that is good, you are confirming how guilty you feel, that is good, but tell God, pour your heart out to him my friend.

I must add brother that the parent company is still part of the company you work for, so they are your employer.

A few questions come to mind

How long have you worked for the company you are with?

Are you on good terms with the manager?

Telling your direct manager what you have done and that you are really sorry may be enough, your direct manager is the one you are responsible to, it need go no further.

But only you can ask yourself these questions, and many more I guess.

Get right with God first, as Jesus always said, go and sin no more, don't do it again.

Meanwhile we pray for you my friend, we pray the Lord will guide you, guide your heart, and guide the heart of your manager. May you experience His peace. In Jesus Name. Amen

Bless you

Jesus loves you, we do too.

I broke down this morning because of it. I told my best friend at church, who is also my small group leader. Then I came in to work early and told my manager. He told me he was happy I was honest and talked to me about how it's not a good thing to screw up. That being said he said make sure it doesn't happen again.

I've worked here almost 8 years. He said I won't lose my job.

I sold the phones for gift cards at GameStop. It all stemmed from me wanting a game system. Now I don't want it. I gave the gift cards to my manager and asked him to take them as a recommendation of my small group leader at church.

I am so disgusted with myself. God wants me to work for what I have an be giving and I stole, spit in the face of my Creator and savior, and was greedy.

Fixxxer, You personally did not make money on it,but you are correct,it was not yours to give in the first place.Do not do it again. Many years ago I did the same working at a kmart store, and when they did find out I got fired.( Rom 8:1) The principle of what I did,and not check first, was my problem.Like you, I was just looking to help a customer who was a bit down on his luck.

The company did not wish to lose me,but the corperate office, said to my boss,if we do not nip this in the bud now,how many others will do the same thing? And we are not a charity either. So I learned bro. When a store becomes your store, and you own it, then you can do as you please, but not until then.Your heart was in the right place, but you now know that this was never your call.

The temptation lies in going beyond this mistake since you did not get caught at it.Let this be a warning to you now. You have learned, just move forward now,and never do that again.( Rom 8:14-15) It is not so easy to become led, until, like you have now, you examine yourself, which you did!!( 2 Cor 13:5) GRACE!!!! ( 2 Peter 3:18) BE THANKFUL!!!! ( 1 Thess 5:18)

but I have massive guilt

that my brother is the holly spirit convicting you !! and you have done well by confessing to your boss I bet you felt a lot better after that, you stumbled now get back on your feet and get on fire for being obedient to the Lord. You may also want to fast on it asking for more spiritual strength,

Thanks for sharing this with us take a a strong person to do this, we have all stumbled, God bless

God is believed to have put the Rainbow in the sky as part of a covenant, a reminder that rather than flood a wicked earth again, through Jesus he will give forgiveness to those who truly repent.

Treat the guilt in your mind as a powerful gift from God, a reminder next time you are tempted, not to do it.

This conviction that many hold to after they becoming believers, is no where near scriptural! Before believing in Christ Jesus yes! Not after! ( Rom 8:1) is not a lie! So why do so many hold fast to something they have no scripture over?? What disciple after coming to Jesus ever repented of anything? What conviction did any disciple ever have after becoming a believer? ZIP! This man made doctrine has hurt so many!!

So many have what God never intended for any of us to have after coming to him! ( 2 Tim 1:7) Faults YES, we do have, but not sin!( 1 John 5:14-20) We are not called sinners after coming to Jesus! We are rather called saints!( 1 Cor 1:2)Remember what Jesus gave to us??( 1 Cor 1:30-31)Guilt is no gift from the Lord! Guilt is not a perfect gift!( James 1:17) Guilt keep us from moving forward in our Jesus.

When questioned by Festus as to what Paul did before being a believer, look what Paul states!!( Acts 25:8-12) No guilt here from Paul as to his past! He fully understood Rom 8:1) The reason Paul stated what he did was not a lie,he understood who a NEW creature is!( 2 Cor 5:17) Do we still make mistakes?? Of course!!! I have made plenty of them! But without mistakes how can we truly understand what being led by Holy Spirit means??( Rom 8:14-15) To those who wish to beat themselves up,thinking one is more spiritual, have at it,but do not tell me that this is God's will.

For there is no chapter or verse which condemns one after they become a believer.( John 8:36) How free can one be if they look at themselves as what they were, rather then what they now are!! Was that a bit harsh? It was not meant to hurt, but rather to wake up people from there sleep in Christ Jesus!( Rom 13:11-14) AND MOVE ever FORWARD through our blessed Lord Jesus!! A few weeks ago,as I was sleeping I received a dream by the angel of the Lord. I was standing before the judgment throne of God,and was asked by an angel as I moved forward this!" The measure of faith the Lord himself gave you( Rom 12:3) do you think he would want it back from you?? " I then woke right up!! LOL ( 2 Peter 1:3-11) Please pay attention to verse 5 and beyond! Who's faith?? YOUR faith! For our only work is to believe,( John 6:28-29) We in Christ believe,Jesus gave us his measure to believe with, but we must hold fast, and endure!!( Col 1:23) For the Lord cannot go against his own word.( Mark 6:4-6)

You have done the right thing. You are forgiven. Will you screw up again? Yes, we all do. Are we apart from God if we do? As a Christian, no. Remember what you did but there's no need to beat yourself up. Move on to the next moral flaw. After 25 yrs as a Christian I'm still screwing up. Just not as often.
