On the 13th of December the Lord led me to share a writing he had given me to write titled, “Enlarge the Place of Your Tent.” The Lord spoke to me through the Scripture passage in Isaiah 54:2-3 about expanding the ministry he had given to me, which is to share what he is teaching me from his word each day in writing or speaking, and to share in writing or speaking the true message of the gospel of our salvation on various internet sites. And I could see at least one practical application that he gave me to that message.
Then on the 22nd of December the Lord led me to share another writing he had given me to write titled, “At Your Word I will Let Down the Nets.” This writing, taken from Luke 5:1-11, is about going deeper with God in order to catch more “fish,” i.e. it is about sharing the gospel of salvation with people, but further than I have before, and in order to reach even more people, perhaps in places where I may have tried before, but where it did not work before. And I am not to be afraid of the people.
Then today, December 24th, the Lord spoke to me through Luke 4:42-44, which had to do with Jesus needing to leave the place where he had been preaching the gospel (the good news of the kingdom of God) to preach in other towns, as well. For, he said, “I was sent for this purpose.” “And he was preaching in the synagogues of Judea.” So, here again, I felt the Lord speaking to me that he is going to extend this ministry yet again.
And I don’t know what you will think of this part, but just as I was reading this passage on my computer screen, an orange ladybug landed on top of the passage of Scripture right between “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God” and “I was sent for this purpose.” And orange ladybugs “are often brightly colored to warn predators that they may be toxic or distasteful” (Google). And they are “beasties,” i.e. “creepy-crawlies.”
And that sounds a whole lot like false apostles, prophets, evangelists, and preachers who are warning the people against the true message of the gospel of Christ, and against its messengers, to try to keep the people from believing the truth of the gospel and to convince them to believe the lies, instead. And this has been happening a long time, but one day soon we who teach the true word of God may be banned from the internet, and we may have to go someplace else to share the gospel message.
All I know at this point is that the Lord is speaking to me about upcoming changes that are going to occur with the ministry he has given to me these past 20 years, that this is going to stretch me beyond where I have been stretched before, and that it is going to take me places where I have not been before, or where I have been rejected before, but now the doors will be open for me. And I will be able to reach more people with the message of the gospel than I have been able to reach with the gospel previously.
When that will begin, or what that will look like, I don’t know, but the Lord is preparing me in advance, just like he prepared me at least 5 months in advance of the beginning of this present ministry 20 years ago. So, I am listening for his voice, and trusting in his guidance and direction, just as I have been doing these past 20 years and many years prior to that. And I will follow his lead one day and one step at a time to go where he leads me.
I would appreciate your prayers for me that I will have full clarity of what the Lord has in mind for me next and that I will follow his leading without fear.
