If a human is not learning about and seeking God/Jesus, it is fighting Him,

He is hoping that we will learn about Him from The Bible and seek Him in our heart. Like the prodigal He is looking and hoping that we will come to our senses and turn to Him that He may run to us with ring, robe, and fatted calf party. We be as his brother when we fail to seek Him and remain in our self-harm. As deaf, dumb, and ignorant as we want to be of Him it is a fight that none of us mere humans can win.

Giving thanks in His provision for us here, whatever He provides or permits, which is permitted as a result of our words and deeds, and giving thanks for the opportunity for hereafter, which is solely available for us because of what He has done and is solely provided at His discretion and for His pleasure.
