I had an interesting thought come into my mind this morning.

Heres my question I'm going to put out there ta ya'll

If you could go back in history.. go back in time..

Within your life time, or the last 3 generations of your own family..

What one thing would you change about that history?

When this question came to me this morning, a couple things came to mind..

Then one other came to me.. and stood out among them all.

I'll share it later.

What would you change, if you could have?

Marco

Would you change something about your own past..

Or something about someone else in the family?

:lookback:

I'm a bit surprized that no one yet has make a comment.

Everyone on TJ and their families, must have had the idealistic upbringing.

I would go back to my childhood - and study a bout GOD like nothing else matters, and do my best to walk with HIM & being the obedient child HE would have wanted me to be.

But there is really no-need for me {or anybody} to go back in time to do that very thing, because I {or we} can start living that way right now.

And I'm trying to be that child {person} right now, to live for GOD like nothing else really doesn't matter!

Very nice post *genesis .

If I could go back, I'd alter my fathers upbringing.
He was abused and his father left by the time he was 5.
Couple step-dads along the way didn't help too much for his selfesteem.

The trickle down effect came to me..
Not so much to my own kids, but I can still see the fruit...
..however smaller than the one my father left me.

Thanks for posting.

Wouldn't that be awesome if we could do that?

But there is a very good reason why GOD didn't give us the ability to be able to go back in time.

When Adam & Eve ate of the tree of good & evil, they new they would die, they new they would be punish, they new they did wrong.

And so GOD cast them out from Eden into a untamed land; that untamed land is where we now live in.

It is always so sad to me, when-ever I hear about people {especially children} being physically {and verbally} abused.

It's really to bad that not everyone has GOD in their lives. Because if they truly had GOD in their lives, they would not hurt anyone. It would not be in their hearts to do so.

But, Marco, it sounds like, to me, you may have A Calling. Because, even though we can not go back into the past to correct things that went wrong or bad, we can always start helping those who are in need, that is including those being abused today.

GOD does not want bad things to happened to anyone; and HE states that through scriptures.

HE teaches us to be loving & caring.

We must under stand we all come the seed of Adam & Eve, and they gave birth to Able & Cain. To this day there are many people who are like Able and others who are like Cain.

We live in a imperfect world filled with good & evil. We are living in untamed world, where many things go out of control.

Remember what GOD said to Cain? HE said:

6. So the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
7. "If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.'' [Genesis 4:6-7]

The Scripture is saying we can be control our own actions.

We can do what is right, even when we are being tempted not to. It's a matter of what's reins in our hearts.
