video If Jesus were the pastor of your church you probably wouldn't go there

I disagree with that, Jesus had many followers 5,000 I think the number was when he fed everyone, , as a matter fact look at now 2000 years later and has a very good following. As a matter of fact I think it is disrespectful for this guy to make such claims as he would have more people come to his church then Jesus.

I do get what he is trying to say, , but to compare yourself to Jesus is not something I would ever do or recommend any one doing.

I have not listened to the clip yet but I will ask...Why not compare yourself to Jesus? We are to be like Him...

Actually we are to be one with Him, in Him, by Him, for Him; most have never entered in and they still serve a far off God. He is in me, I am in Him and we go unto the Father. We have been made one together, just like man and wife, is Jesus and His bride. The two entwined into one flesh, one SPIRIT, one unity, in God we trust. Standing in righteousness and highly favored.

Do we know Him yet?

Dude sounded like he is standing around a bonfire with the dudes drinking beer talking about a fight an ole man kicking some booty. If I was in this church I would have to leave this worldly garbage. I hear the same thing on the street everyday. So when is God exalted through this spill? In the punch line?

I will admit I did not listen to it all. Close you eyes and listen, what do you hear?

Jesus would go find his lost sheep and bring them to the gate, not a building with a mortgage and bills to be paid..
We know that feeding 5000 with a few fish was a miracle but think about the fact that 5000 Jews with women and children besides had gone three days without food and were not complaining and perhaps never even felt hungry.Jesus could have fed them earth food at any point but was concerned about their hunger only when they were going to leave his presence.

The real question would be whether a pastor would want Jesus in his church.

Back in the day they didn't want HIM in there. Do we believe that has changed? I don't. Money hungry and blood thirsty; also carried over from the days of ole'.

Probably too many of those who were among the 5000 and the 4000 fed were also among those who shouted "Give us Barabbas" a murderer to be released and then "Crucify him" when asked what should be done with Jesus. What do we suppose Jesus meant with these words?

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled." John 6:26

Too many seek Jesus or follow after Him for the wrong reasons. Too many never learn what the right reason should be...

One thing is for sure. When one sits under the leadership and ministry of Christ, you get your toes stepped on. God deals with, cleansing and purging, the messenger, first, and then we deliver the message to the rest. And the majority will not receive us.

Like the speaker in the video Jesus also hated it when people were unable to understand. But... He would not compromise his message in order to retain his followers. Because He did understood this the consequences, "Jesus wept".

The speaker says that Jesus was unwilling to soften the message received from the Father when he delivered it to people. Again, no compromise! The speaker admitted not wanting to preach a message that would drive a congregation of people away, but Jesus not just willing to do it. He did it! I It was his Father's will. Just read John chapter 6 to see how serious Jesus was. Remember this verse where many were unable to accept his words and walked away from him?

"From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him." John 6:66

And then as they walked away Jesus challenged even his closest followers:

"Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?" John 6:67

His meaning was clear ( at least to me it was). He did not want the twelve to leave him, but even if they did he was still not going to change his message!

What could we lose because we are unwilling to compromise God's Truth? How about our family, our friends, our material goods, all of the comforts of this natural life we have thought of as "good"! Are we willing to lose all of those things?

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Rom 12:1

Then go back a verse quoted in the video:

"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple" Luke 14:26

Hey this not my message either. This is Jesus' message. This is God's message.

Give God the glory!

Yes, I know. Praise God. How about that message? I love my Lord, and you've chosen me to do what? Go forth and be killed, if it be Father's will. Yeah, it was hard for me to swallow several years ago too. Sure makes thy belly bitter, but the Word in my mouth is sweet as honey.

Do we know Him yet?

All praise glory and honor be unto God Amen

I just think that if Jesus came and preached today he would have a huge following just as he did back in the day, making this guys statement false to me. Jesus had no social media and had crowds of 5000 and more,I do not think many today could do that. thats my main point, I am sure many followed him for the wrong reasons just as they do anyone else. Praise Jesus !!

Perhaps he would have a large following, but would the result for his carnal body... if God allowed it... be any different? That is to say, they would probably kill him again. People like their freedom to sin!

Possibly. In fact, I would be more interested if Jesus was the pastor of my Church. Jesus is really wise, and straight to the point. He doesn't sugar coat anything, and knows how to tell "em". I was reading the bible and he knows how to talk to people who are hypocrites like Jews wanting him dead cuz he said he was Jesus and they would probably accept anyone else but Jesus himself.

Pastors now a days are too smiley, or too "extra". There too busy telling the nice things you want hear or trying to get you excited by turning church into a concert with the crazy dancing, and shouting "Amen!" every time they speak.

I would prefer Jesus. Straight to the point but balance with details, and metaphors with none of that extra extra stuff like some pastors today who act too happy or need to put on a show.

I personally don't know Jesus myself but I like his attitude as described in the Bible.

P.S - did not watch the clip

You know Him probably better from what you have posted here than some I have met who claim to know Him.

Keep the faith; I'm not dead, yet.
All praise glory and honor be unto God.

Jesus could be preaching from the pulpit today, if those disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and preached instead of catering to money. We can not serve both.

A true disciple has forsaken ALL, and followed Him; being pleasing to Him, having no respector of persons. He will give ye what ye ought to say. We don't need a script or prepared sermon, He knows exactly what we need, and eyeballs fill with tears, heart's are convicted and people fall at His feet; yep, just because one was obedient to Him.

I was asked to do bible study in the community I live; I agreed. I let them know the Holy Spirit steps on my toes first and I will step on your toes; but it is because God loves us and He wants us to look at ourselves. They told me that is what they need. They are pierced in the heart with conviction and tears fill their eyes and they can't wait for more; and it is growing. People who haven't set foot inside a church house for 11 yrs, the husband testified, can't wait to come to Fellowship In The Park next meeting. No, We are not cuddled together in a building, We are under God's trees and blue sky; some sit in their cars and listen, and that is ok too; atleast they show up. Blind eyes is being opened, the deaf is hearing, spiritual healing is happening. I praise God for it. He does the supernatural works; I deliver the message He has for us all. God is turning the church.

The vision He give me is mine to fulfill; but I must start. He takes it from there.

Fellowship in the Park is growing; praise God for it. I am not a one (wo)man show; this is fellowship. Everyone has a right to speak forth, I encourage them to. God uses me to teach you, and uses you to teach me. All of God's creation testifies of Him; what He has created, not what we create. Amen.

Tonight is Wendseday evening fellowship and I gave them faith scripture, led of the Holy Spirit, to do a faith study in Matthew. Tonight they are going to speak and I am going to listen and aid them as the Holy Spirit gives me utterance to do so. Amen Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. The heart believes what the mouth speaks. What is in the heart comes out. God is going to teach us some good stuff again tonight. I praise God for it.

All praise glory and honor be unto God Amen.

So you don't get it, I understand. I think, he hit the "mark". I understood it without a hitch. I guess, it just was not for everyone.
