Many times, I wish I had a time machine so I could go into the past, all the way back to the creation of man, and stop Adam and Eve from eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Even bring a chainsaw with me so I could trim the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil so that it's fruit and branches were out of reach and could not be reached without at least a very hard, gruelling climb, and a lighter and gasoline so I can burn what I trimmed off so they can not eat any fruits of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil that came down with the cut off branches.
If neither Adam and Eve nor anybody at all ate the forbidden fruit (the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil), there would be no evil at all in this world, the Lake of Fire would be really empty, people would live indefinitely, especially those that ate of the Tree of Life. I mean, imagine living to be even 150,000 years old, or even a million years! I'm sure nobody would want to live to be just 70 years old, or even 200 years old; they'd want to live at least several thousand or more years. I'm sure a few would likely even want to live to be one or two billion years old, too. Plus, there would be no shootings, no homicides, no violence, no corruption in government, no favoritism, no discrimination. We would not need strip clubs because 1, everyone would be naked in the first place (except for those that visit or live in the mid and high latitudes), and 2, everyone would marry, there would be no divorce, no rejection, no obesity, no smoking, and such. We might or might not have nightclubs, but if we did, there would be no gangster rap music at all, no hard liquor (whiskey, vodka, etc), no fights, I bet we'd even have a lot of love and gospel music, too! And everyone would be friendly towards one another. No need for bouncers, either, because everyone would be behaved. Not to mention at home, we would have no need to sleep with our windows and doors locked up because there would be no thieves or burglars; anyone could even go on a ten day Caribbean cruise or even go on a 3 year round the world sailing trip like Magellan did without locking his/her house up and come back to find everything exactly the way it was left. I am also sure that any kind of illness suffered by any person (cancer, colds, the flu, injuries of any kind, even simple old age) would be easily cured by simply eating some fruits of the Tree of Life. Best yet, anyone who were to (physically) die would go straight to Heaven, absolutely no questions asked. Plus Jesus wouldn't have had to go through that awful crucifixion, either.
Sadly and shamefully, time travel into the past is strictly science fiction, and I'm sure even God Himself always knew that mankind would never, in the real world, have the kind of technology capabilities to make a time machine that could transport a person even one second into the past, let alone 802,701 years into the future. Therefore, the damage is done, the human race is spoiled, no man can go back in time and fix it, instead of just one individual commandment to follow, we now have more than 650 individual commandments that must be perfectly obeyed from the heart (not just to the first letter, but from the very heart!), the path back to life is narrow and hard and requires a boot camp type of spiritual and physical discipline to get through it, we have to pay tithes and offerings, and worst of all, even Jesus said that; 1, the path to the Lake of Fire is wide and many go down it, and 2, not everyone who calls Jesus "Lord" will escape/avoid the lake of fire, even making it look as though the path to destruction has no gate at all, but the path to life is heavily gated and even fortified. Even Jesus Himself commanded us to be perfect in Matthew 5:48. In many interpretations in fact, it means literally sinless, perfect obedience to every single one of the more than 650 commands that exist in God's law. Not to mention some people might even be forbidden to marry. To make matters worse, according to Revelation 3:14-21, one thing that Jesus absolutely hates the most is lukewarm faith. Not cold faith, lukewarm faith! Even as though only those who are, as one might say, "on fire for God" would have even the slightest chance of avoiding the Lake of Fire. Not cold, lukewarm, or even hot. Only on fire. Truthfully, many times I even have thoughts of publicly preaching things such as "through Adam and Eve's sin, man has forfeited the Earth, as well as the right to live, marry, and multiply upon the Earth." Sometimes I even think that, after being expelled from the Garden of Eden for eating the forbidden fruit, that Adam and Eve should have split up, gone separate ways, and never even reproduced at all.
