Hello everybody,

First of all, before I bring up this topic, I wanted to say that I hope you all get to know me as a person. My desire is God. My desire is to make sure people know what the Gospel is so that they can explain it to others. I will yield to what the Scriptures say.

My topic is one of fighting the Man-Centered Gospel. This is my topic. Nothing else nor anyone else. I hope people's responses will help make our understanding clear.

I believe in the verse in the Bible that says "Now, I rejoice, not that you were made sorry but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation not to be regretted." 2 Cor. 7:9. I strongly believe that it is our SIN that Christ saved us from. That JUSTICE needed to be satisfied (because God is Just and Loving) and that because God loved us He sent His only Son to die for the Just punishment that our sins rightly deserve. I am strongly against the Man-Centered Gospel which says that God died for our God-Shaped Hole or for our fullfillment. Because it's just not true. Name a Bible verse that says that Christ died to satisfy us. No, He came to satisfy the demands of Righteousness. Now, what happens when we see our utter unworthiness and what happens when we see how Merciful God has been in sending us His Son? Well, instead of being fear-filled converts, we become tear-filled converts and embrace Christ with the RIGHT motive. Not coming to Christ for his gifts or for fullfillment but coming to Christ because He has been so kind to a wicked me. This is what is called "Christ-Centeredness". All glory is to Him. Yes, it is true. The verse that says, "come to me all you who are weary-for my yoke is easy and my burden light" is true. Only with the Holy Spirit's Help--- is walking with Christ easy. But how many people can say Paul's life was easy. He died for Christ. Paul was imprisoned and beaten and hated for Christ's name. He was spit upon and tortured. Now, the modern day "converts" who were told---"Christianity is easy" were lied to. Speaking out for Christ will bring persecution.
I also believe strongly that we should use the mirror of the Law to bring about that godly sorrow that leads to salvation. Gal. 3: 22-25 says, "But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the Law kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore, the Law was our tutor to bring us to Christ that we might be justified by faith." Asking a person, "Hey, have you ever lied?" shows a person that they are indeed not a good person. Look up James 1: 22-25. This sums it up.

When I say that the purpose-driven Gospel is false, I mean it's "half-gospel". What does half-gospel produce? None gospel. We need to stop being sloppy in explaining the Gospel. We need to get back to the entire and complete Gospel. People are easily misled. We need to explain the meaning of "Well, God has a wonderful plan for your life." Because to the unsaved mind that could mean a new sports car or a forever happy life.

Hurrah!

Great! Finally a breath of fresh air. Amen to everything you said. True, True!
I definately agree that we need to return to the "complete Gospel"---none of this half-gospel stuff. Toilet-Water Theology is what I call it!

I also agree with you some of your broghtres they are falling a easyer gospel that's is only interesed in materials valous.
Car, house, husband, marriage and god is much more than this.
we have to follow Jesus by what he is and not by what He can do for us.
He had already made all, know there are somethings that we have to do.
You both must keep in this direction, God must be really happy with you, and also me to be part of this holy family.
God bless you.
