That Jesus does not see me as his. I sin daily and I can't take living the lie anymore. I can't stop. I'm trapped. There isn't any way out. I need help, because I just do not think I'm a christian anymore because of how Bad im sinning.

I don't know what to tell you, I know that He never leaves nor forsakes us, it is us who turns away thinking that we aren't good enough, or that we couldn't even possibly deserve Him. But thats the great thing about the cross, is that Jesus took it all the way to the cross just for us. We don't deserve Him, and we never will, because of just that, that we have fallen into a sinful nature. But you have to constantly remind yourself that Jesus took your sins all the way to the cross over 2000 years ago to the cross because He saw you!

Heard that before.

We are not perfect, far from it.

Christ died for the ungodly.

Do you read your Bible daily?

Do you pray to Jesus?

It depends on what you mean by sin?

Your not alone, I can assure you. Modern life can be very difficult for Christians. It takes time to grow as a Christian.

You may be looking at your own sin, instead of looking at Jesus Christ.

Need more information!

I believe we all have our own weakness and sin that we feel we ‘can’t stop’ or feel ‘trapped’ in. Be the sin that of pornography, drinking, smoking, fornication, homosexuality or any number of sins; even to the most perfect of Christians who may battle with pride and hypocrisy.

We ‘can’t stop’ because we believe we can’t. Lies of Satan. We feel ‘trapped’ because we think we are trapped. Lies of Satan. What ever weakness you have may be one you battle daily, hourly and even minute by minute. Each time we reject the temptation and praise God for getting us through another bout does brings peace. (something I am still learning with my smoking) The only good thing I can say about smoking is that it has taught me the struggle many others have with their own weaknesses.

One thing that has helped me is to pray Psalm 139:23-24 so that I might see my heart and mind the way God sees it. I was afraid to pray this for fear that He would test me more than I was able to take, but He has promised not to. Each time He brings something to mind ask His forgiveness and power to turn from it. And praise Him for the tests that bring cleansing.

ChildofFaith, I understand what you are talking about! Please let me comfort you, with what Jesus shared with me over the past week! First please read 2 Cor 4:7-18) The love of Jesus is not based upon our feeling.Nor is it based upon our sins! We know what we deserve! Enduring till the end,is not easy!! ( mark 13:13) God's love is 100 percent! His love is as the east is from the west, meaning it has no end to it! Among us all,we have weakness, and concerns. But through this,we are reminded of God's LOVE! When you go into your prayer room, just say Lord,I am so thankful that you love me!! I know I have fallen short of what is expected, but Jesus, your love cannot change, for it is your very nature! Proff?? amen!! always!! in the OLd Testament Mal 3:6) in the New Testament Hebrews 13:8)Jesus Christ the SAME!! What is happeneing to you, happened to me,we finally start to examine ourselves as we really are!!( 2 cor 13:5) BUT!! do not let the enemy rob you either!!( john 10:10) That which draws us to Jesus is wonderful!! that which draws us away from him!! Is not of the Lord! Repent,LOVE Jesus and do your very best, remember can't can't,and try never did a thing,we will always do what we want to in life! ALWAYS! ( not yelling, just pointing out something that holds so true for us all) Without Jesus we can do nothing!! BUT! with God!! all things are indeed possible!! ( Luke 1:37) Do not lose heart, but rather in love, give him yours!! blessing! My prayers will be with you,and you are loved, recieve it today!! And be made with great JOY!! Psalm 103:11-17 is for you, from Jesus in me!!

Please, take a break and read this!

Your struggle is real and Biblical. I have read this section of Romans 7 many times. This is the truth, this is real. What you are going through is exactly what you should be experiencing. You are in a war, within. Of course I have heard your complaint before.
Go on read the following passages.

15 For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate.

16 But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good.

17 So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not.

19 For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.

20 But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

21 I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good.

22 For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man,

23 but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.

24 Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?

25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

Is this what you are experiencing. This is what Paul experienced.
This is ongoing. If you are a smart Christian you will rely on the Lord more completely.

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!
Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!

I can say Amen to David777's post and add Romans 8:1. It starts with the word "Therefore" meaning considering all David777 pointed out to you and then goes on to say, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus."

If you go to Romans 8:4 we read "That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us (Not by us), who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." And then we can only do that because we are God's workmanship according to Ephesians 2:10 and it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure in Philippians 2:13.

Do you want to give up? Perhaps that's the first issue. If not, then God is bigger. Just keep walking.

A journey begins with a single step. Keep one foot in front of the other and you'll eventually get there. That's how it works. Fall down, get up. Fall down, stay down - journey over.

Really, that's all it boils down to at the end of the day. Just keep walking.

If you love then you can make it. Because God is love. (1 John 4:8)

Everyone has (second by second only two choices- to be led of the Spirit or to feed their fleshly desires. Having been in that same trap before I recall the words the Holy Spirit spoke to me - "you don't have to live like that".
My freind, when temptation comes we call on the Name of Jesus and ask for help believing we receive it and start to walk away. Each time we lift our foot we do so knowing that Jesus has heard us and is empowering us to go on- this is walking by faith. All we need do is choose to call and choose to believe- He supplies the power!
Start feeding your spirit (inner man) with the Word of God, the presence (fellowship with) God and prayer. Start going to church and pressing in.

Here is the story of an old German evangelist being interviewed:
When the reporter ask him what it was like to be a Christian he replied
"it's like having 2 dogs inside me, a black one and a white one and they are always fighting". The reporter then ask him which one wins? His answer- " the one I feed!"

Please know that this is only satan battling with your mind.
Jesus LOVES YOU! He died for YOU! If you stumble, then ask Him to forgive you. He loves you and wants to help you through this. He will NEVER leave you... He will NEVER forsake you! He is right there to take your hand and lead you through. Just like the "Footprints in the Sand" story... He carries you through those rough times, if you ask Him to!

No matter how "bad you're sinning" and how "badly you sin" daily, Jesus STILL loves you with a passion and zeal that you and your sinful ways can never quench. Jesus loves you not because of who you are and what you do or don't do. Jesus loves you because He IS love personified. He can't help Himself, He just loves and loves and loves, in spite of us.

So get over it, repent and do better daily. Praise Him, love Him, acknowledge Him and His grace will abundantly cover you as you ask for forgiveness and His help with your weaknesses.

1 John 1:9 says "He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins" and Psalm 103:8-12 says "as far as the East is from the West, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us."

When you sin, do you ask for forgiveness and then repent (turn from it)?

If not, that is the first step to take.

We all sin in one form or another. We are not to live in a lifestyle of sin where we sin habitually and we don't think anything of it.

I think part of what you are feeling is conviction. Holy Spirit is tugging at your heart to come back to Jesus.

Spend some time with God...in prayer...in worship...and in reading the Word of God.
