I am really in need of some thoughts from you. I really don't think the world is going to end on Dec. 21 but I have been hearing a lot of things about this new energy consciousness that is happening. I have heard that we have a lot of energy coming in to our earth and we are being cleansed from our fear and pain and soon a new earth will emerge. Some people will stay stuck in fear and others will assend to the 5th dimention. I normally don't believe in this but for the last few months I have been experiencing a lot of the assention symptoms these people have talked about. It has been really scaring me. I looked up Rev. 12:12 and it talked about these things happening and about how many will be being fooled. I wonder if others are trying to fool me and get me to enter this new age thing. They talk about how we are leaving the age of Jesus/the fish age and entering into aquarious or something. I just don't know what to believe or do. I do physically feel so emotional lately and like all my issues are coming up and have the signs of the new energy thing but at the same time I want to follow Jesus and I wish I could just have him tell me what to do. I am so sad that i am feeling down this Christmas time and worried about the 21st. I just want to live one day at a time but instead I am living in fear of the future. I really need some support here. Please help.

The new age stuff is a deception, designed to lead people away from faith in Jesus. Please stay strong in your faith, for you are being tested and I am praying for you that you remain strong in the Lord.
people have always have theirs views of who Jesus is and how should bible be be looked at. that's why theres many denominations in christianity because of people's opinions and beliefs toward God. this new age thing is no different.. it's just another false belief about God's truth... I suggest you stick with bible and pray to Jesus, He will see you through. Because He is real and hears your prayer.

We're certainly leaning toward a new spiritual happening. Obviously there is a lot of mixed views on the issue. It's not just the Lord, but the way things are happening in the world indicate a transformation. As for what is said about the change from Jesus toward something new, obviously you need to stay faithful. The only truth that may be in this is that the Church is more or of an enemy to society today than ever before. We are moving away from Christian dominance in society. So yes, there is truth in that.

There is not going to be more understanding or enlightenment, transformation in "consciousness" and more "love and light" but instead: Evil will wax worse and worse as we approach the end but to the people outside of Christ it will look as more radiant "love and light" as to them evil is loved and true righteousness is hated.

I hate to reply to this thread as my first post but I too have had some similar experiences as these newagers report, but mine were from God and some of these experiences will start to become normal.
Some of the things I have experience were not from God but they are supposed to be normal in healthy environments.
You might be surprised how many people try to keep a clean conscience, and as a result of their human effort to think positively, around these people you can have very positive experiences.
However, the Holy Spirit will tell you who needs to get saved, and this is all that matters anyway, let no man deceive you!
I really hate to use the newage term "global conscienceness" but just as in Jesus time the disciples met someone(s) who was(were) casting out demons in His name, but they did not follow the disciples, so to today are the similar things going on. the difference is the new agers take from the global conscienceness and never give back. many of them are on the same page as us but the moment you talk about the Holy Spirit they tend to get scared and run.
Another problem is many of these newagers have only had negative experiences with dead and false Christians, so they have such strong negative memories built up around the Bible that they can't read it. If you meet these people remind them that they can only read the Bible as the Holy Spirit gives them direction, so they should start by asking God which verses to read, and remind them that the Holy Spirit will lead them into all truth, and they will receive revelation and truth from God when they start working for Him.

Christ Consciousness or global consciousness if you like are not to be confused with Christ Jesus. There is great peril in confusing the two. First the acknowledgment in scripture Matthew 9:38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. and the succeeding reply verse [39] But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
This also brings to mind earlier in Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? What does out Lord say to them? Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Keep in mind that many use the name of Jesus or in the case of New Agers Christ minus the Jesus or if not minus Jesus, minus His Divinity. They speak of Christ yet the one they speak of is not the biblical one, who we call Lord, Savior, King of Kings! The only one by which man may be saved. You have witnessed to them so know this to be true. No different is the Buddhist who sees Him as an enlightened being further along in development then you or I, but still a man. Many religions feel no differently.
Sadly, you say that "many are on the same page as we are". No they are not. The page I'm on is in the Bible; the path is to grow in His Word and in faith that His will might be done through me. That I may be that Good and Faithful Servant. Yet, my hope is that one day these who are lost and that you attempting to reach might also know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior and not some spiritual awakening that has more to do with Satan then of God.
That you witness to them is admirable, and should be an example many would do well to follow. However, would you not also tell them to come out from amongst them (unbelievers)? This is one of the greater issues within Christendom today. Incorporating other religious beliefs and allowing that staying within a false religion is okay as long as you believe in Jesus. There is deceit and falsehood in providing this type of component to a newly born believer. Even providing them discipleship what influences are they continuing to be faced with that would distort, pervert, God's Word? Do you believe that God is accepting of practices not His own?
If one does not inform them that these same practices are wrong at some point in time, how will they know when you are not there? Will those even more lost then they, provide that guidance? The very same ones who deal with spirits not of God?
Much of what New Agers would term mysticism are clearly founded in Eastern religious practices. Meditation is one of these. Scripture tells one to meditate on His Word. Not a single word, which is done in most other meditations throughout the world. This is only done, until the adherent is able to completely blank their minds. Not too far off am I? All this does is open them to spiritual influences not of God. Even Christian mystics warn of facing spirits who have no love for us. Robert Foster, if you're not familiar with him (I mention him only as warning against and not for these practices.) tells readers that they should be wary of these spirits and come with words of protection if confronted. This by the way is very Native Indian practice (Currently reading a book by a Native Indian on this subject.). The Author warnings go out to everyone, that integrating these practices with Christian ones, is only asking for trouble, and is not a practice scripture condones. OT Israeli can attest to that.
In searching for the experiences many have relegated the warnings and truth contained in scripture to second class citizen status whose importance is becoming negligible at best in use and practice. The one but not the only one truth that comes under attack is the atoning death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. This is due to the belief that a loving God could never use that method for atonement, and is more reflective of a cruel, vengeful God. This perspective is not one of innocence, but rather a spiritual deception. Our failure to come to grips with this in Evangelism is a great mistake.
Unless one is evangelizing as you seem to be, it would be fair to say that continued interaction with previous belief systems, must be cut off. Difficult, but if one is to grow not only in the Lord, but in His Word, you cannot believe that having one foot in both places, is acceptable to God. OT Israeli shows this not to be the case, and it will never be so as NT/Letters to the Churches in Revelation show.
How, far do we go in adjusting our practices so that all is left is a watered down Jesus Christ?
Keep in mind what the Lord said about hearing of His return in Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not. and it follows to describe this new age philosophy almost to the "T" Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christ's, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
No wonder they would run by even the mention of the Holy Spirit, for He is anathema to their very belief system!
