I really need some support right now and I knew I could come here. My husband is an attorney and he got a call the other day from a man (who gave a false name) and he got a really bad threat that sounded VERY serious. We have notified police and done all we can. I have been praying psalm 31 and having faith. Sometimes I wonder if God will really protect us if we pray. I am so scared and I need some support. I can't sleep at night. I sleep with my bible under my pillow and it is comforting. This threat sounded very bad and serious and like it was going to be carried out. I don't know what to do. Is this the enemy? Can God stop this? I want answers so bad and to find out who did this.

First of all, please know that I am praying for you and your husband.
This is a very scary time for you both.
Now that you have done all you can do, it's time to trust God. And I know those words can become so cliche, and they can be MUCH easier said than done, and a lot of times seem worthless and void of hope and comfort. Yet, the truth is, God IS in control, and God DOES care about His children. He, in His infinite wisdom and power, has a plan, and this has not taken Him by surprise. (Jeremiah 29:11)
I'm not one to say what will or will not happen...we all want to be able to say with confidence that "Everything will work out, and God's not going to let anything bad happen." But we can't. God does sometimes let bad things happen to us. Think of Joseph, Job, the 4 Hebrew children in Daniel......what can seem like horrible things happening now we can later look back and see how God was strengthening and growing us in our faith and our trust in Him.
I shall be praying that the best works out for you and your husband, and that God will keep you safe from all threats and harm.
But know this: IF God allows something bad to happen, it WILL be for a purpose, a purpose that will be for your good. Romans 8:28

Rom 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
2Th_1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
Gal_5:12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
Rom_12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Col_3:25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
Of course We have to Give all we have and are too HIM ! He must be LORD over all 100% 1 You have nothing He wants ! But He cannot be less than LORD of All ! Many want salvation But they will not allow Him to be LORD! He is already , but we must accept Him as our LORD! Has nothing to do with others or churches here !
It a One on One relationship forever more ! It Wonderful !
