Someone who is close to me is switched her religion to those of the Native American religion. Though that person believes in God, she doesn't believe in Jesus. She lives and obeys God's words. The person's family is against her newfound change in religion and are saying that that person is going to Hell.

Though the person lives and honors God's words, are is the person going to Hell?

I don't want anything bad to happen to them, and it will be very painful for me if they will not be able to go to Heaven.

Hi Identity,

In the Bible Jesus clearly states that noone can get to the father but by Him.

John14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth and the life. Noone comes to the father except through Me.

John11:25-26 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me though he may die, he shall live. and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.Do you believe this?

John3:5-6 Jesus answered, Most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Jesus says very clearly my friend that we must not only know Him but be reborn again in Him...meaning we must have a relationship with Him and take Him as Lord and Savior of our lives and to do this we must repent of our sins and turn from the old person we used to be and toward the new creature we are in Him. Without Him there is no salvation at all...It is His blood that covers us and cleanses our sins so we can have redemption or forgiveness..to know God is to know Jesus and to know Jesus is to know God.

I too am saddened to know someone I am close to does not know Jesus but thinks its her good works that will get her into heaven...the truth is...we can do all the good works in world and obey every law and word that God says but unless we know His son Jesus first and have a relationship with Him there is no salvation...we must first have a relationship our Lord Jesus knowing we are covered by His blood and forgiven of our sins then once we have Him we can concentrate on putting our faith into good works and obeying God's very word.

I will be praying for your friend that Jesus may touch her life and that His truth will be shown to her...Jesus hasn't given up on her and neither should you..keep praying for her and her salvation and you have brothers and sisters here at talk Jesus that will be praying for your friend as well.

God bless you Identity and if you ever have any more questions feel free to pm me anytime here on the site.

Thank you so very much. The person means a lot to me, but of course, not as much as God and His son. The person has been baptized when they were young though. It's just that...well, I believe she turned towards the Native American religion shortly after the person's great grandmother (who came from a Native American background) passed away. When I met the person late July of last year, they was a devout Christian. Please pray for my friend. I know I need prayer also because I am going through major financial trouble, but I am more concerned about her and her relationship with God than my troubles.
