INDEPENDENCE OR BONDAGE?

Verse of the day for 7-4-12

2Ch 7:14If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, andseek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven andwill forgive their sin and will heal their land.
God is calling America, and the whole world, to humble themselves,pray, and seek His face, and how? Through repentance, this is more than a mereconfession then trust in something that was never done for you, such as Christtaking your place and wrath on the cross. God has nothing for the double mindedwho profess Christ, nor does He hear their prayers, along with those who ignoreHim every day of their lives, as they seek the pleasures of the world, andtheir own way over Gods!
The only hope for America on this Independence Day I feel is totalrepentance on the scale of Nineveh, from the president down to the least.America can claim they are free, sing beautiful songs about being proud to bean American, and the worst one of all, God bless America, that lulls them intoa false sense of security, taking God’s blessings as a sign all is well withtheir worldly and sinful lives, indulgence is the factor here I believe,clouding the minds of many, especially those in the churches who professChrist!
The saying goes there is always a calm before the storm, and Ibelieve as we see our nation and especially our churches falling deeper, anddeeper into the snare of the devil, where evil is considered good, and goodevil, and where the biblical standard of Christ crucified and the fleshsubdued, is lost and forgotten, replaced with a false, worldly sin gospel,making it virtually impossible for anyone to come to a simple faith in Christ,through humbling themselves, praying, seeking God instead of their vainattraction and pleasures, and turning from their wicked and perverse ways.Until this happens, God will not hear from them today, or any day, and the landof America will still remain sick and dying a slow death, covered by manyparties, fireworks, and indulgence, that offers a temporary anesthesia, numbingthe mind and heart as they think Gods is with them because they have it allhere in America!
God is no respecter of persons, He sees the heart of mankind,their thoughts, feelings, and motives, and what He is seeing especially comingfrom the churches today, is a gospel totally backwards from what He has laidout in scripture, telling mankind they do not have to stop sinning and obey,because they were born a sinner, and are sick to the core, but He then sentJesus to be their covering and substitution. Thus you have many super starpreachers telling the lost multitudes, that God doesn't see their wicked heart,He sees Jesus, and that obedience is an option, and the worse lie of all, Goddeclares the sinner righteous while they are still unrighteous!
Until this changes, and the real gospel according to godliness ispreached far and wide, where the baptism of repentance and an obedient faith ismandatory, then all is doomed, as we wait for the judgment to come uponAmerica, as God has promised, but for now, He is being very patient andlongsuffering, not wanting anyone to perish but ALL to come to repentance. Andthat will come from the few who are bold enough to stand against the religioussystem of lies, and stand boldly for the long lost gospel, that has the powerto set mankind free from the bondage's of sin, once and for all. Then living anobedient crucified life, as the saints of old did, giving their lives to keepthe word pure and undefiled!

Tommy's right!

For too long we've as a nation have unwittingly or in cases, ignorantly, let our patriotism slowly become an idol. Rather than trusting in the Lord for our substance, we have trusted in America for our needs. We have killed the innocent thinking there is no consequence. We have aloud our kids to be trained in the ways of the jungle by deceptive cleberties, and we have forgotten God for who he is. In short, we have given onto Ceaser that which rightfully belongs to God, and in cases, we have bashed those giving what belongs to God that which is God's, and not to Ceaser, because it displeased us and our ideology.

To save America, we must repent and turn to the lord fully, and in truth. We must wake up to reality and not continue in our fanties.

Tommy you'd better go out and flee from the Mike Desario; and Pelagius, Pelagianism heresies! and go into the Word of God The Lord Jesus Christ. Right now you are following a man and not GOD, you're trying to justify yourself first by your own efforts to not sin and think that that would be pleasing to God (which you will not) because you need to be born again and come to the Cross and die to your old nature (are you baptised?) and be filled with the Holy Ghost and surrender to God and abide in the Vine because without the branch being connected to the Vine you can not bear fruit! God is pleased with His Son The Lord Jesus Christ in us not with our own efforts to try to justify ourselves to think God Will only accept us if we come without sin or stop the sin first. It is Jesus Christ who brings the victory over sin and death and breaks off all sin addiction. We have got nothing to boast about it is all His Work and Glory and none of ours. You have a sinful nature you are not born neutral, God needs to do the Work in you which you yourself never can do by your own efforts. How can you ever sanctify and justify yourself? It is God who is Holy and not you, what have you to bring to God? Can you ever justify yourself by your own efforts? You can't! you need Jesus Christ! And God saves by His Grace through faith and not by our works! God is in Control not man, man has nothing to boast about.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

I see words "We" as being responsible for the condition of mankind, and its judgment. The world is judged; there is none good; no not one, and all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Putting a Band-Aid to the wound will accomplish nothing.

There though is a cure for the sin-sick soul and that is Jesus; He is the "balm in Gilead.” As to America and the rest, the times of the Gentiles nears an end and Jesus as the King of kings, and Lord of lords will put an end to usurping nations insisting to rule.

John 17:14 We are not of the world, even as Jesus is not of the world, and in John 17:15 Jesus prayed to our Father that He not take us from the world, but to keep us from evil.

We are God's workmanship as He works in us to will and to do after His good pleasure and it will continue until the Day of Christ when He takes His own throne.
