No. The Bible says that there is now no Jew nor Greek, no male nor female. God looks at us all the same. Even Jesus had mixed races in his human heritage. "Someone other then your color"??? And who determines what "color" one is? Do we now have to match up with skin color? Honestly, don't we have enough division in this world? I do not judge someone by the color of their skin but by their character and beliefs. This thread is rather upsetting.

God only made people one color but he gave us the genes for all colors at one time.

There is no command to not marry people of a different race in the bible.

Bringing this subject out in the open may be a great comffort for some people.

Perhaps, Eric. If that is why the subject has been brought up, well and good. You are also correct in that the Bible says nothing about races marrying. Yes, in the OT, the Hebrews were ordered not to marry various other races, not because of their skin color but because of their idol worshiping ways and that involvement with them would lead them away from God. That is still true today as God does not want us to marry unbelievers. I have seen that firsthand in my extended family with a niece marrying an unbeliever. He led her away from God into worship of first Buddha, then various New Age beliefs. She is a very confused woman right now, trying to find a "religion" that blends Christianity with New Age. Oh, and the husband? He left her after having many affairs and after she gave birth to his son, who is special needs.

Race is simply a way to categorize human beings. This categorization can be done by language, by appearance (skin color etc), by genetics, names, or parentage.
From God's point of view, God categorizes human beings into the elect and the non-elect, so there are only two races from God's point of view.

According to the biblical definition of race, it is defined according to ancestral lines not appearance. There is nothing in the bible which says that Jesus was descended from David because he had a certain appearance about him or because he had some of David's DNA. His race was due to his ancestral line on the father's side. The concept of race was strongly linked to the family tree on the father's side. So if God is our Father, we belong to God's race, and if satan is our father, we belong to satan's race. Appearance and physical genetics doesn't come into it at all.

But in our modern day, race is strongly linked to genetics. A few hundred years ago, Darwinian evolution introduced the idea that race is attributed to genetics and features such as skin color, eye appearance, hair color etc.
Many bad things were done by colonial powers fueled by Darwinian thought that the white color had certain advantages over other colors according to the belief that it is all about genetics.
At the same time, whole people groups were labelled according to their appearance, despite the fact that within these people groups exist very different cultures, foods, languages, and religions.
This led to Hitler's views about the different races being superior to others, and he was merely taking the prevalent belief in Europe at the time, that one step further.

So in summary, In bible times, races were defined by culture and religion.
In modern times race is defined by genetics.
In God's view, race is defined by whether or not you are of God's seed or satan's seed. That is, whether or not God is Father or not.

There is nothing wrong with you asking the question. Questions are a necessary part of growing. We are not all at the same level in our knowledge of the word of God, and can't help but be heavily influenced by the world and its perceptions.

Glad you asked, because there are some, who might be too afraid to have asked it, and to bring it into the light of day.

Stay courageous and don't ever be afraid to ask what's on your mind. Just be ready to hear a variety of answers!
The hope is that they will be communicated to you with the same Love that Christ answered to the apostles when they had questions.
