Isn't it amazing watching people grow and develop here. I won't mention any names but for some reason I have been fascinated by the progress of one person here. Every time I read one of her posts I am amazed by her growth and maturity.

That's a nice thing for you to say - maybe you should pass it along to this person to lift them up. You know, we reflect the company we keep. If we are around ungodly people, we will be dragged down over time if we don't counter that with godly fellowship.

By the same token, what we do affects others. If we wear our negative clothes, we will soon be spreading negativity wherever we go.

ok so i thought jesus was around un godly people all the time so that his light could shine? No point being a light in a well lit room is there? light needs to be in the darkness for others to see it?

Please ecxplain sapphire.

Also someone who inspires me is Nicholas who has so much to deal with (which i wont say cuz its private) and he is well kool at helping other people and doesnt let that be an excuse to be licking his wounds! I think the same but only because i listened to him and how he talks to people. He is so kool!

And i think its a good idea to tell people sapphire, i will pm Nicholas now. Kool

Good question Heatheranne. I'm glad you asked. To clarify - yes, Jesus was around ungodly people & a light will shine in a dark room. Too many times, we "hide our lights" when around ungodly people, particularily if we are the only candle in the room, so to speak.

We can definitely minister to those in need & should do exactly that. We are called to do exactly that. But God does tell us to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together & to constantly be in prayer for the brethren. If we are ministering to the lost, the ideal thing to do would be do have our fellow Christians praying for us as we do it. That's one reason it's important to pray before coming on Talk Jesus. Sometimes we meet the unsaved & need to be able to freely speak as God moves us to.

Fire lights fire. A candle alone will eventually go out. If it has other candles around, the light can be spread from one to another. There can never be too much light....remember how bright God shines.

I'm sorry to be confusing at first. I hope this helps a bit.
