I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.
1 Timothy 2:1
There's no escaping the assignment in that verse-intercede, and do it thankfully!
The biblical call to intercession has never included the promise that we would be put in control of the answers-only that we could be assured of God's entry into the situation.
Intercessory prayer is not to secure our will. Rather, intercession wars against the powers of darkness given reign by human sin and failure.
It resists the efforts of hell at mastering multitudes and invites God's dominion over the enemy of our souls. His sovereignty introduces redemptive possibilities.

with us today and always!
