I've never normally thought about it. I've usually eaten it without ever thinking about it. However, recently I am really thinking about what I do in my everyday life.

Its not the cruelty to the animal that bothers me (though its not good obviously), but more that the killing is dedicated to Allah.

I never really thought about this until today. Also noticed alot of Kebab shops in England are Halal and they seem to have taken over our highstreets in the last 5 years...

Moose I know...and bear and deer and rabbit too...but I have`nt a clue what Halal is lol...here is what the scripture says.

1Co 10:25 Eat anything that is sold in the meat market without raising any question about it on the grounds of conscience,
1Co 10:26 for "the earth and everything in it belong to the Lord."
1Co 10:27 If an unbeliever invites you to his house and you wish to go, eat whatever is set before you, raising no question on the grounds of conscience.
1Co 10:28 However, if someone says to you, "This was offered as a sacrifice," don't eat it, both out of consideration for the one who told you and also for the sake of conscience.
1Co 10:29 I mean, of course, his conscience, not yours. For why should my freedom be determined by someone else's conscience?
1Co 10:30 If I eat with thankfulness, why should I be denounced because of what I am thankful for?
1Co 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.

Blessings :`)

1 Corinthians 6:12 (King James Version)

12All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

When I worked in a packing house as a young man I saw a rabbi come in once a month to butcher beef Kosher style. He too took a sharp knife and cut the throats of the cattle. If the knife is very sharp the pain is minimal. Truly... Remember cutting your finger with a dull knife. It hurt but when you slit your finger with a sharp one it only stung a bit.

We went Halal hunting once but only ended up shooting a Nauga. Took the hide though for a chair.

muslims pray to the same God as jews and christians. Allah is arabic for God, and before Mohammad, christians of arab lands prayed to God as Allah. Halal meat is slaughtered in God's name, in a way that drains blood from the carcass in the old jewish tradition.

from my interactions with muslims, i find their morality to be very very close to those of practicing christians.

Sorry son. You're wrong!!! Allah and the GOD of Abraham Issac and Jacob are not the same. One is GOD and one is god. If you worship Allah you will spend eternity with him.

If you think Islam is a good religion with a benevonent god try reading this book.

There are others to listen to as well. Muslim Walid Shoebat is an ex terrorist. He loves GOD and knows Allah. He'll tell you.

Don't argue. Do your research

Allah is just the arabic word for God. It doesn't necessarily have to denote the muslim god.

But since they don't believe in the Trinity, it's a different God. Ask any Muslim if they believe Jesus is God.
