Nomophobia

a psychological condition that describes the fear or anxiety of being unable to use or not having a working mobile phone. It can also manifest as agitation and anxiety when a person knows they won't be able to use their phone for a while, or if they briefly can't find it. Some say that nomophobia is a type of phone addiction or dependence.

naming a fear is something someone who considers themselves smarter than those around them, has simply given a name to an addiction, there are so many addictions in the human life, mostly all sin. Do people fear not being able to feed an addiction? Yes, its very common.

being addicted to christian fellowship, or being addicted to scripture reading or being addicted to prayer, all good things or even addicted to helping people in need also a great addiction
Addiction - the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity.

Naturally you see the world from the place you have been placed by God. Where I am at, addiction isnt a huge problem, with drugs, sexual, gambling, etc. There is a place to gamble about an hour or so away on cherokee lands, but most ppl near me that go there will only gamble a little, catch a show with some performer they like, not a big problem. Drugs, well a problem with some younger ppl I guess, I dont read many sad stories in the news about locals dying from drugs, although a lady in her mid 40's living not far from me did OD, but was revived with narcan, hopefully she learned her lesson. She lives with her husband/boyfriend, he works, she doesnt, no kids.

There are so many "angels/spirit/emotions' God created for human existence in being god and existing in "good and evil". Where they are like waves on the sea. Sometimes enjoy good "angels/spirits/emotions/ and sometimes evil ones like this one. But for the Children of God there is only Living and Walking in the Everlasting Good Spirit of God. Just as our "Abba Father/Daddy, Jehovah".

Classic addiction behavior, and by design. Your phone is designed to capture and keep your attention. Apps and notifications constantly vie for your focus, making it hard to put the phone down. Dopamine Loops: Each notification or social media triggers a small dopamine release, creating a cycle of checking and rechecking your phone.

You could not be more spot-on!

"Nomophobia" is a label, one of those things to bring a bondman of Christ into the house of bondage to the world (Galatians 2:4; 5:1, Hebrews 2:15, 2 Peter 2:19). Naming, or labeling, is an act of authority; e,g. you name your children, they do not name you. Labels are images. So when you use the word, you come under the one who invented that word. The name/label is used to ascribe guilt and blame, to be tossed around like a political football. The addiction itself becomes once-removed from the word used to describe it, and so we rationalize our addiction instead of confessing it and repenting from it.

I reckon it will soon be classed as yet another "mental disorder." Although nomophobia does not appear in the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5), it has been proposed as a "specific phobia", based on definitions given in the DSM-IV. Big Pharma to the rescue, where everything is to eventually be labeled - for total control.
