Hi everyone! I wanted to get second opinions on this situation of mine. So I started going to this church while still in college (Im already a born again believer) and met a few friends there. Then, over winter break I had a dream I was in a relationship with someone named X (not giving actual name). Id heard the name around but didnt know the person at the time. Next semester everyone starts going to the campus church again and we choose small groups for that semester. This guy named X and I end up in the same small group, and I was impressed with his kindness and Biblical knowledge etc. from getting to know him there . Then I felt strong gut feeling that he was my husband and proceeded to fall deeply in love but kept all this a strict secret. I prayed to God that if it was meant to be that we would end up together, but I refused to even talk to this guy bcz I was afraid of anyone noticing my feelings. Fast forward 6 months later and he falls head over heels in love with me and we kickoff an amazing relationship…the kind I would only dream about haha. Around the same time we got together, he met a friend who got him involved with some Bible studies associated with a church I later discovered was a cult. He didn’t tell anyone about this cult for about 1.5 yrs and by this time we were wanting to get married and he was also thoroughly brainwashed by this cult’s Bible studies (yes actual Bible studies but the Bible was taken grossly out of context). I discovered this and the heartbreak began. Couldnt eat and the grief was horrific. One night I was praying out to God to save him and terribly distressed bcz I was thinking it might be impossible. After that prayer I opened the Bible to the words “X will be saved” (X is his name). So I took that as a sign that God would save him and I gained soo much peace out of it. For 1 year he and I stopped our relationship and did long distance to study the Bible and chat. During this time I tried to show him the mistakes this cult was making but to no avail as of today. A few days ago we heartbreakingly decided to go our separate ways bcz neither of us is ready to be with the other w/o having mutual beliefs about Biblical issues. Then about 2 days ago I was watching entertaining and fun videos to calm my stress and heartbreak when I randomly came across a video of a lady saying she had had a dream the night before that was a prophecy for a certain group of people. In this dream she saw a guy and girl swimming in the ocean and then the guy started writing love letters to the girl. Then the dream changed and the girl was alone on the beach waiting. She said this dream was for people going thru similar things that she had with her spouse. She explained that she had met him and formed a relationship with him at a time when he was struggling and needed to truly find God and that they had to separate at that time during which she intensely prayed/ warred spiritually for him and he came back to her and they got married. Lastly, today I ran across a video of another woman prophesying that being with your spouse is taking awhile bcz they need their eyes uncovered and witchcraft broken in their lives.

So, needless to say I’m in quite a situation. My feelings for X are super intense so I dont want them to get in the way and cloud my judgement to make me think this means something. That’s why Im asking you guys. Not that I dont feel God is strongly showing me things and working thru this. There are other little events that confirm this. And I have learned to become a spiritual warrior thru it all. But your guys’ opinions would be sooo appreciated

Be patient, you dont know that these people are true prophets I assume. Dont make assumptions until the truth becomes clear. Emotions can sway us to do things not in our best interest.

Can you clarify if you are referring to reincarnation or you had meant to say something else?

Can you share some of the differences between you & him in beliefs? It does not have to be a big list or anything; just the ones off of the top of your head.

Also, you might pray that Jesus Christ helps make your love for him more as Christ's love for him in seeking his good in the Lord rather than romantic love in seeking your own gain. I shall send up a prayer for you & him now.

Yes, thank you. I agree with you. I’ve decided that I am not going to make any assumptions. After all, I think the purpose of dreams or signs or prophecy in this case is to glorify God in the case that it was meant to be and not to give me a reason to think I know God’s will.

Not sure what you mean by reincarnation but definitely didn’t have anything to do with that. Differences in belief used to be null until the cult friend came into play and convinced him that it’s wrong not to observe the Sabbath and go to church on Sunday. Then little things led to big things and they convinced him there was a man who is Christ returned…very powerful deception bcz the beliefs are so contrary to Scripture yet they still manage to do all the convincing using only Scripture.

Thank you for your prayer!! I am going to be praying and seeking God’s will and no making any assumptions because if this is God pointing me to something, I want to use it only for His glory in the case that it happens and there is a testimony to share with others which will then be used for their own deliverance. Not my will but His be done!

True Godly love is not a feeling! GOD Center Love is doing what is right.

Falling in love and then
Marrying is actually worldly! How many biblical characters in the Bible fell in love then Propose to marry. Samson is one, now how did that workout? And King David. Don’t mention King Solomon The Bible said He had 700 wives and 300 Concubines!

The Bible said he love them all :eyes:

How did that work out?

And Paul said, in other words to keep you from sexual sins you need to marry! But if you can control yourself it is wise for you to remain single in this present time. For those who marry will have problems, and that is a “Promise”. If you can life without sex, it is best to remain single and Dedicated your life to “Christ”.

But that is a choice you have to make! And your counsel come straight from the Word of GOD. And when in Doubt, stand still. And do not be Influence by no man or women and be content in GOD.

Remaining single unless there is a need for sex might be great for men, but us women want/need marriage for a lot more than just sex. One of the biggest things is the need for a man who can provide security- emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual safety.

Today women have just as many jobs and more money than men, well paying jobs like men. The husband and the wife work! A woman in the develop world can get job as fast as a man.

Now, in non developed countries where they stay and cook and keep house. Because of their culture and religion it can be understandable. Christianity is a different thing women can do what they want to do, they can get divorced and marry 3 to 4 times and be back up by their church.and society. And if they commit abultery they write a book and go on “ Oprah”. And tell everybody how bless they are, because she has found a new wife. And the sex is good.:eyes:
Christian women do that everyday now. It has become normal here in the USA and Europe. And Pastor a church too! With her wife. My friend Who is a Christian went to a church like that they have dance and serve wine. He said he saw nothing wrong with it. They shown a lot of Love there. nice and friendly, men dancing with men, women dancing with women. Him and his wife got up and dance too. I guess it was a church social.

He had been in Christ for about 4 to 5 years! 60 years old he was.

Some people believe in “Freewill” so,,,,do what you will. If you are in love in your heart go ahead on. You choose.

I know what I’m going to do. :eyes:

I don’t care how many arrows cupid shoot!

Yea, you love them alright, until,,,,your soul mate come around corner. He understands me 5-20 years later.

And never read their Bibles good enough to realize “Stolen Waters are sweet”! And her lips are smoother than oil!

Jealousy is around the corner he of she is my friend at work and the neighbor across the street!

Like That devil ain’t going to come to your house or your church. Or her job. Oh yea, he on The The prowl. And guess what? He ain’t Prejudice! He do not discriminate!:eyes:
“LBYGQ”!

I know this doesn't directly answer the op question. Just some thoughts within reading some of the thread.
The world changes but God stays the same with His divine creation.
There is the songs of Solomon to consider.
Also this husbands love your wives even as Christ also loved the church. Ephesians 5:25

Yea which wife was “Solomon” talking about? He had 700, and 300 concubines! And The Bible said he “Loved” all of Them! He had young ones, middle age ones and old ones! He loved Them All! He had a whole lot of them. Now if “ Gideon“ had 70 or was it 71 kids, Now how many babies “Solomon” had. He loved them All! You know your bible said that too! Most likely he had little ones, short ones, middle height, all kinds of women. Now don’t you get mad you brought up the Shulamite woman.

I already thought of Solomon and how he went astray, as a side issue. Just the fact that songs of Solomon is in the bible for a reason.
God is our Creator and that sin spoils creation. Just like a large ink splatter on a beautiful oil painting.

Potentially Solomon could have been a man of God, especially as there was a time that he seeked wisdom above material blessings.
Only Solomon went astray and that spoilt the potential person that he could have been. For he went astray choosing a life in the flesh over God.

The point is God's life and how He would want us to live and very much to love God very dearly with all our heart, which is a life of peace.
Then from the love of God, husband and wife love each other as one and as the biblical standards God set.
Only because of sin that doesn't follow up to that.
Consequently if the bible also says anything different otherwise that's a different scenario altogether, and because of sin and missing out the best potentials in God who created the most wonderful ideas. That are not lived by.

Sorry I didn't see or answer the op of the thread and went off in a tangent with other things.

We can all be deceived and so if we give it all to God to help us and take captive of our thoughts and for His Holy Spirit to comfort and counsel through. To guide to the truth.

Sometimes it's difficult to know what is of God and what is not.
It's more difficult to overcome intense emotion but in time can be achieved, especially with God helping and thinking of other things that can be a helpful distraction.

It doesn't look that way if he is involved with a cult, unless he turns to a life in Christ.

In uncertainty it can be a disaster to give a foothold to anything not of God and so it's best to pray, claim the blood of Jesus to cancel it and let it all die off from your mind.
If of God it will resurrect itself without any trying. Like a seed that falls to the ground has to die before the seed springs to life.

May the Lord use this as an opportunity to edify & correct your brother in the Lord.

Matthew 12:1At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat. 2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. 3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; 4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests? 5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? 6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple. 7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. 8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

The Pharisees were seeking to condemn His disciples for working on the sabbath day in picking ears of corn to eat. Jesus defended His disciples by pointing out 2 events in scripture where the sabbath was profaned but the saints were guiltless because they were in the Temple when it was done. Then Jesus pointed out that One greater than the Temple was here for why His disciples were guiltless, thus inferring Himself.

The Jews used to keep the ten commandments as a means to get saved and have eternal life, which they could not do for why Jesus had to come, but no more since we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ & are saved.

Here is the reality of why we are guiltless for profaning the sabbath; Jesus Christ is in us and with us always for why we are guiltless for profaning the sabbath.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

That is why Jesus is Lord over the sabbath and not sabbath lord over Jesus.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

This is why Paul had written that it does not matter which day you honor the Lord on, but do not judge others for honoring one day & not the other for Jesus Christ in us is able to make us stand.

Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. 6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. 7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. 8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. 9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living. 10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. 13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

They really should not have guilt trip your brother in Christ like that, but you can share this reproof with him in the hopes that the Lord will lead him to discern and prove other things they teach by the scripture too & leave it if they do not repent.

May God bless you & keep you. May He shine his face upon you and give you His peace.

We all are at different growth in our walk with the Lord but scripturally, the brethren that guilt trip that brother into not worshiping on Sunday but Saturday the sabbath, should be corrected for doing that,
