ISIS Video Purports to Show Execution of Christian Men in Libya

A video released today by a group claiming allegiance to ISIS purports to show the beheading of a group of Coptic Christian men who were kidnapped in Libya last month.

The horrific 5-minute video is evidence of ISIS' continued expansion from the terrorist group's "caliphate" from Syria and Iraq into neighboring regions.

The group, Tripoli Province, claimed it had kidnapped the men and published three pictures of them on January 12.

In the video, a group of men in orange jumpsuits are led along a beach, each accompanied by a masked militant. As the men in the jumpsuits kneel, one of the militants speaks to the camera in English, and then all of the kneeling men are beheaded.

After the release of the video, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi banned all travel by Egyptian citizens to Libya, promised to evacuate all Egyptians who are currently in the country.

He also said he would send his foreign minister to New York, calling for an emergency U.N. Security Council meeting about how to respond to ISIS actions in Libya.

Counter-terrorism officials have expressed deep concern about ISIS asserting itself in Libya, where the U.S. is still reeling from the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on a diplomatic post in Benghazi that killed four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya.

"They pretty much own Libya," an official involved in counter-terrorism operations told ABC News recently. "We have zero collection there and zero authorities there."

Another official referred to aspirational ISIS-produced maps showing their black jihadi flag representing the caliphate -- which was declared last summer by ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi -- enveloping much of the Middle East, Europe and North Africa and obliterating traditional borders. Their broad ambition is being realized in certain areas, the official said.

Tears, sadness, for those who have preceded us in this fashion. For we know that their cries are being heard (Revelation 6:10 KJV) 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" that the Day of the Lord's return, continues to draw closer still, as tragedy, and darkness continue to spread throughout this world.

Yet I cannot help placing my anger at those who have committed such an atrocity in the name of a false god behind me for the ledger they are filling is sin upon sin. A slate that can only be wiped clean by the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, who they refuse to Accept, Honor, and Worship!

I pray Heavenly Father! Lord that they may see the error of their ways and turn from this darkness and turn to You! That even these who have done this may find the mercy through Your great sacrifice and find compassion, that they themselves did not show to your children....I also bring before you Father God; the families of those that have experienced this horror, of darkness in their lives. That they may find comfort in Your saving grace, covered by the Holy Spirit granting them as Your Son said "(John 14:27 KJV) 27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." That in so doing that they may know and surrender to the peace Your Son spoke of, "(John 16:33 KJV) 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." That in these days, they, we, may hold ever more closely in our hearts Your promises. Always trusting in Your Word as we await the return of Your Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in whose name I, we now pray. That in all that may happen to Your children, be to Your Honor and Glory! Amen, Amen, Amen!
