It is so easy to believe what the world does is right

In this world it is so easy to be convinced something is right, from a little white lie to a stack of hard lies, my neighbour or friend does it they are thought of as good people so it must be right, or we were taught it at school it must be right teachers are professional, maybe even because it is law.

The world can be very convincing, media can be extremely powerful, if we have issues often the first people we talk to are friends, their views become your views but were they right? But who else can we talk to, a friend wouldn't hurt me and will listen and give his or her thoughts and advice. Two heads are better than one they say.

We all know what the world says but what does scripture say, strange how with many this is further down the list when it comes to wanting issues to problems, or for many it may not even be on there list... until they become desperate.

We all know what the world says but what does scripture say?

Read the following scripture:

Romans 1:16-32 (NKJV)
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.

20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,
21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,
25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.
27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;
29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,
30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;
32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

What used to be homosexuality and lesbianism, is now joined with other sexual activities, outside that of man and woman in marriage which God created for us.
They call it Pride, LGBTQ+ = Pride and as Proverbs tells us Pride comes before a fall.

The scripture above is very clear is it not, how can people not see these things are wrong?

24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves,
25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

I have not included verses from the Old Testament, especially from Leviticus, or mentioned Sodom and Gomorrah, as people in the LGBTQ+ group have told each other, we are free from the Law the Bible says so. They know what they want to know, listen to what they want to listen to, their minds are debased by God because of their acts.

This is the devil at work in the latter days of the end times, scripture is used in part, to make them and others believe what they do acceptable, they continue to tell others there is nothing wrong in what they do. Note - we are free from the law, the rainbow,

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (NKJV)
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Is marriage therefore just for man and woman?

Matthew 19:1-12 (NKJV)
1 Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, that He departed from Galilee and came to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.
2 And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there.
3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?"
4
And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,'
5
and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?
6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh.
Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
7 They said to Him, "Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?"
8
He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
9
And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery."
10 His disciples said to Him, "If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry."
11
But He said to them, "All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given:
12 For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it."

The KJV Bible puts things this way
27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

Some versions say they will be repaid in kind! Either way God is clear there will be a payment and sin leads to death.

Yesterday I read an article at BBC News, relating to the UK though other countries are no doubt in a similar position.

Here is part of it, click the link above to read all the news item.

Cases of sexually transmitted infections are increasing in England.

In 2018, there were 447,694 new diagnoses of STIs, a 5% increase on the 422,147 in 2017.

Gonorrhoea increased the most - by 26% to 56,259 cases, the largest number since 1978.

There were 7,541 cases of syphilis - a 5% increase on 2017.

High-risk groups include young people and men who have sex with men.

The most commonly diagnosed STIs were: (STIs - Sexually Transmitted Diseases)
  • chlamydia (218,095 cases, 49% of all new STI diagnoses)
  • genital warts (57,318 cases, 13%)
  • gonorrhoea (56,259 cases, 13%)
  • genital herpes (33,867 cases, 8%)

  • The number of gonorrhoea cases has been increasing for years among both men and women, despite repeated warnings from public health doctors about the risks of unprotected sex.

Sometimes referred to as "the clap", it is a bacterial infection passed between people through unprotected sex.

  • (Unprotected sex is the same as sex with anyone other that a husband and wife in God's eyes.)

Scriptures says they will be repaid for their sins, but also says elsewhere in the end times there will be, increases in pestilences, super bugs etc.
It can be treated with antibiotics, although there have been recent reports of some cases of hard-to-treat "super-gonorrhoea" that are resistant to the usual choice of drugs.

Please feel free to share this information.

Pray as the Spirit guides you.

@Brother-Paul

I see you are not afraid to step on toes !! praise be to God !! even in todays churches they are afraid to step on toes and instead of helping there flock see the world for what it is, they are just super nice to everyone.

You can pretty much bet if the world aproves of it God does not !! for example the American Dream says well I will work and store up enough wealth and retire, so I can do what ever I want and live for me me me . Yet the bible does not mention retirement, and the parrable about the rich merchant who built storage barns so he could do nothing but comes to mind,

this world throws every distraction at you possible to get your mind off of Lord Jesus Christ and salvation, seems the parrable of the sower comes to mind

yes if we are in word daily, and pray with out ceasing, and obey, stay focused and endure to the end, we might just be able to avoid the traps of this world, especially now as it seems to be getting much worst

Isa 5:20 ; Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

I am not treading on toes Dave M, some may feel this, all I am doing is sharing God's Word, sharing The Truth in God's Word. Pray, pray, pray.

To God be the Glory, Jesus is Lord.

The battle is not ours brother, God, father Son and Holy Spirit, vs Sin the world and the devil.

Lord this is to much for us, you know our hearts, and we stand together in faith, in prayer and pray for the misguided souls, may your light shine up on them, may your Word speak truth in their ears, may they turn from there wicked and evil and sinful ways, repent and sin no more. In Jesus Name we pray.Amen

Isa 5:20 ; Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

Let scripture speak brother. Woe indeed. Woes causes sorrow, distress, troubles, which can be stressful and painful as well as depressing.
God tells us a lot about woes in Revelation chapters 12-15 in the Tribulation Period.

Isa 5:20 ; Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil

Or put simply, Woe to those who go against God's will, who go against God's Word, changing Truth for lies, changing good for evil, changing God's Word to suit their own thoughts and desires, Isa 5:20 is a clear warning.

The wages of Sin is Death!

Is marriage therefore just for man and woman?

Greetings,

are we called to be whinge-bags or ministers of the Gospel.... the good news?
Makes a difference as to how we go about viewing anything like this and plenty of other 'topics' of the world.
Surely we know already that the world is in darkness BUT isn't that what we are 'hired' to be here for, to cast judgement??? or to shine a light?
Some will follow the Light some will not... or is it many?
Either way, what are we busying our little heads with? World darkness or the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, speaking not words of condemnation but of hope and life.

What will change a man? Telling him he is doing wrong? Or, perhaps a little taste of something irrisistable like the Love of God we know in Christ?

A couple of thoughts. No judgement.

oh, and back to the quoted post ...

reply:
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Matthew 24:38

None of what anyone or group do or does takes God by surprise, so why do we get upset by it? Jesus listened to His Father.

We have the Spirit of the Son in our hearts whereby we cry, ABBA Father.... so, can we get back to the Father's business. He knows already and in the meantime, in case we forget which is why he sent His Son, He wants us to shine the Light and sprinkle the salt. Stuff that makes a guest welcome at the table of His grace, if i may use those words?

Bless you ....><>

@Mr Bear

Wing bags we are not brother.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV)

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Does a father not make known to his children what is right and wrong, what is safe and unsafe?

Does a father not make clear what is harmful, would a father let a child die without telling him or her not to do something?

If a child does something wrong, it doesn't know it has done anything wrong unless it is told what is right.

God has given us His Word, for reproof and correction, we are His workers bring people to God through Jesus according to God's Word.

Are we as God's servants to let others die, who think they are right, but have been misled.

There are many quick to say LGBTQ is right, there is nothing wrong in it, we are free from the law, yes we are, but not free to kill, not free to commit adultery, not free to twist God's Word to make it fit circumstances in life that suits us at the time. As stated above, if a child does something wrong, it doesn't know it has done anything wrong unless it is told what is right.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, so that we can share the Good News. It is no use saying we are Gospel believing people and not respond to the Truth in The Word from Acts to Revelation or the Old Testament.

Tell people about Jesus, about God's love, about salvation, about the cross and about the blood of Christ. But also confirm what is sin or they may not know, they have listened and been convinced by sin, the world and the devil, they are veiled from the truth, the Truth will set them free, but only if the Truth is made known to them.

Bless you brother, peace be with you \o/

Ref: ...but also confirm what is sin because they do not know.

this is a great point and one I can relate to, growing up I had no idea sex outside of marriage was a sin

I totally agree brother, those who are not saved do not accept sin, most do not accept there is a devil.
They (as we did) belong to sin the world and the devil but how can we know if someone doesn't tell us.

Scripture says this also...

Acts 8:26-40 (NKJV)
26 Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, "Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." This is desert.
27 So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship,
28 was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet.
29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go near and overtake this chariot."
30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?"
31 And he said, "
How can I, unless someone guides me?" And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.
32 The place in the Scripture which he read was this: "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And as a lamb before its shearer is silent, So He opened not His mouth.
33 In His humiliation His justice was taken away, And who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth."
34 So the eunuch answered Philip and said, "I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?"
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.
36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?"
37 Then Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him.
39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.
40 But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached in all the cities till he came to Caesarea.

The NIV puts it this way...
Acts 8:31 (NIV2011)
31 “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?”
So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

The Complete Jewish Bible states the same...
Acts 8:30-31 (CJB)
31 “How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?”
And he invited Philip to climb up and sit with him.

The Gospel, The Word has to be preaching across the world, how do they know they are doing wrong unless someone explains it to them.

I am reminded that the nonspiritual can not grasp the things of God.
Also, the unsaved need saving... but they do need to be drawn to the Lord by the Gospel, not condemned by it.
For the saved, go for it, tell them the things they need to hear but for those who are lost.... a wee light is a good start and as they get a little closer out of the shadows, some fragrance or aroma of the Lord might linger in their nostrils and a real desire to have relationship with God the Father through Jesus His Son will save some. (believing of course is needed!)

Yes, i thoroughly agree the Truth will set them free but how do they know the Truth if they have not yet met Him? His name is Jesus. People need to come to Him believing! so He can set them free.

Should we perhaps tell them (all sinners) that they need to get right side up and then He will save them?
And, on that note, we expect them sinners to get right! while we (the majority? of professing Christians) continue going wrong.
Somehow we need to take a check and perhaps fall back on the lovingkindness of God found only in Jesus Christ His Son, Who gave Himself for the lovingkindness of God that whoever believes in Him should not perish because He did give Himself while we were yet sinners, not because we had become straight but because of His great love.

I think you know what i mean and i certainly do not wish to argue.

The gospel is about hope not condemnation. Sure, many reject. But let us start as a body sorting a few rejections out first?
If the folk who do gay stuff call us hypocrites, would they be wrong?

We know that many will do what is not right and many will reject the Son but let us press on telling of God's love in His Son, so much so that people will want that Love for themselves and are willing to sell all, to turn, to get right side up, to get saved!

Grace and Peace

Bless you ....><>

@Mr Bear

Although I agree with what you say, and as we know, God calls us we do not call Him, the Bible is the Greatest Love Story ever written, full of the Love of God from Genesis to Revelation.

I also agree that sharing God's love with us, bringing them to Jesus is the most important thing we can do. Jesus was God's Love in its fullness. Salvation is only achieved by a soul coming to Jesus with a repentant heart, coming to the cross where our sins were nailed, accepting Jesus shed His blood for our sins, once for all, the perfect and final sacrifice.

But it is also true to say the Bible, God's Holy Word, which is full of prophesies so that when they are fulfilled we know they are of God, but it is also full of warnings and guidance, what is right and what is wrong. The Ethiopian Eunuch said, 'how can I know unless someone tells me'. I appreciate at this stage he had a search heart, but even then he was asking for scripture to be explained.

What brings us to Jesus brother, the Holy Spirit according to God's will, He calls us we do not call Him, true. Many prayers are lifted by many people, often over many years before a person chooses to comes to Christ. Over that period many sin, sin, sin, and do not realise they are sinning. Over that period a person would be told about Jesus, told they are being prayed for, but also told what is wrong or best put what is sin.

I was told about Jesus, told I was being prayed for when I was younger, it meant nothing to me, though the Holy Spirit was slowly penetrating the crack in my heart of stone and I didn't know it. But over the same period I was also told many of the things I did was sin, eventually this started to register, had I not been told I would not know what I was doing was wrong, it was all part of the journey, but being introduced to Jesus was they key, after a few obstacles had been removed.

I am sure others experienced this also in their journey to Jesus and to God through Him.

The topic in this post is confirming BGBTQ is wrong, God makes it clear that the sexual acts are sins, and sin leads to death. It is in response brother to the fact many, including some in the institutionalised church, feel it is acceptable even in God's Word, they feel it is right, not only that they use scripture to say it is right, always quoting we are free from the law. I have not wing bagged here, I have not added Old Testament quotes from scripture, all I have done is quoted from the New Testament confirmation the errors and that LGBTQ is a sin.

One can ask, why is the institutionalised church not standing up and saying it is wrong. Because there are to many in it and they are veiled from the Truth by their sins.

Peace be with you brother. \o/

Greetings Brother-Paul

yes, and it ought to be remembered that marriage was long ago debased by both the world and by a huge proportion of the Church, not only in ideology but in practice. [divorce, adultery, premarital relationships, inappropriate behaviour by married couples.... not to mention the ignoring of husbands and wives regarding love and submission, etc. became the norm] So, is there any wonder that we see today what you are writing about?

Bless you and thank you ....><>

And in the latter days of the end time we are told we will see these things and more.

It will 'appear' the devil has domain and it sure does.

Jesus said,
John 14:1 (NKJV)
1 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.

Mark 13:3-8 (NKJV)
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately,
4 "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?"
5 And Jesus, answering them, began to say: "Take heed that no one deceives you.
6 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and will deceive many.
7 But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.
8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles.
These are the beginnings of sorrows.

Regarding some of the items you mention... sharing the Gospel. Jesus says...

Matthew 19:1-9 (NKJV)

1 Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, that He departed from Galilee and came to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan.
2 And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there.
3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?"
4 And He answered and said to them, "
Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,'
5 and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?
6
So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
7 They said to Him, "Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?"
8 He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives,
but from the beginning it was not so.
9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery."

That was 2000 years ago that Jesus said that, but with the increase in wickedness and hardening of hearts, not not knowing what is right and wrong, it has got worse and continues to get worse, year on year, as was prophesied, because they do not know it is wrong, they do not know it leads to death.

Matthew 5:31-32 (NKJV)
31 "Furthermore it has been said, 'Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.'
32 But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery.

Paul here says, Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord.
He is teaching God's Word, making clear what is right and wrong, not just bringing people to Jesus. I believe both are expected of us.
Eventually the soul will come to Jesus and it will all make sense, then they will weep in repentance.

1 Corinthians 7:10-11 (NKJV)
10 Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord: A wife is not to depart from her husband.
11 But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife.

1 Timothy 6:13-16 (NKJV)
13 I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate,
14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing,
15 which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

We see today what we are talking about because scripture tells us it would happen, thanks be to God for telling us.

What we are seeing today is everything God tells us the devil convinces the world the total opposite.

Bless you.
