Jailed for being pro-life
from...Students for Life of America news alert
Last May, an African-American pro-life pastor, Walter Hoye, was arrested for standing outside of an abortion facility in Oakland, CA for peacefully holding a sign, " Jesus loves you and your baby. Let us help."
At his trial earlier this month, Pastor Hoye, who was facing 2 years in prison, was told he would be put on probation and forced to sign a "stay-away order" which would end his outreach to women going into abortion facilities.
Pastor Hoye refused the order and was served with a 30 day sentence and $1130 fine. He was incarceration on Friday, March 20th.
Right now, Pastor Hoye is in jail for expressing his constitutional rights.
This should concern all pro-lifers in the United States.
No longer does free speech apply to pro-life outreach.
If you are outraged by these actions and want to help, contact Pastor Dion Evans at the Life Issues Foundation through e-mail
