Jesus Club

Hi brothers and sisters,

A group of four students, including myself, are in the process of creating a club revolved around God.

My university is a secular campus, God is, in a sense, a "hands-off" topic. Anything related to the Lord, Christ Jesus, and the Bible is criticized greatly here; as it is in society.

The qualification, I guess you could say, to gain membership into the club is that you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Savior. People who have questions and are interested in learning about Christ is welcome.

I just ask that you would all pray that this would come to pass. Another member and myself will be graduating next year, so we are trying to lay a foundation for the club before we leave. Could you also please pray for the attacks. We have already witnessed some.

I suggest that you plug into an established campus ministry organization like Campus Crusades for Christ to receive the advice and help you need in getting this thing going. You need to find people who have blazed a trail in ministry on secular campuses.

As the saying goes, "When you're walking through a minefield its a good idea to follow somebody."

Father I pray that if this is what you are leading these young people to set up then You will guide them and it will bear fruit and grow strong. You say when we go through storms You go with us. May they be grounded in You and have their full armour on to protect them when they are attacked by those who do not know You. Thank you for these young ones wanting to start up a Christian group and I pray Your blessing over them as they do shine for Jesus by their actions in Jesus' name amen.
