Does anyone else find it absolutely mysterious and fascinating that Jesus is both God and a man? And, by the way, he is still a man! Stop and think about that for a moment. God came into this world through a woman’s birth canal. He learned to crawl. He climbed trees, played with his buddies, scraped his knee on the ground, slept, ate, drank, pooped, peed, laughed, cried, worked, paid taxes, attended weddings and funerals, and learned every custom familiar to the Jews of the day. He was truly one of us, flesh of our flesh and bone of our bone, and that is why, when Jesus called God his Father, the religious leaders wanted to kill him! Jesus of Nazareth, son of Joseph the carpenter, was claiming equality with God Himself! This raises so many questions I don’t even know where to begin but I don’t want to muddy the waters with my opinions. I want to know what you think. And before you flip through your Rolodex of stock responses and favorite bible verses please take moment or two to meditate and let the Spirit speak to you personally. I look forward to a great discussion. Peace and Love :)

Absolutely. Can you imagine the creator of the universe at Joseph's side learning to saw a straight line in a piece of wood?

Would love to know what some of your questions are

God never lies, so how do you consolidate what God Himself says
to your posts, l am curious

Not quite sure what you're asking here. Where do you see a conflict? Very happy to give some to explaining, but need a bit more information to go on.

Hi
You say that Jesus is God.
God says that Jesus is His son and not God,

Heb 1:6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
Heb 1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
Heb 1:8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Hi
With respect, I'm not going on with this thread,
I simply believe what God says.
This is my beloved SON, again God never lies, so who are we to
argue with Him.

I don’t really understand the question. If you could clarify please :)

Well as far as I’m concerned you can believe whatever you want concerning Jesus but the apostles, the early church fathers and the church as a whole today call Jesus God the Son, God in the flesh(the Incarnation), the image of the invisible God, and so on. See John 1 and Colossians 1. If Jesus would have simply called himself God He might have been written off as a lunatic by the religious leaders and gotten away with just a flogging but He called God His Father, which was something entirely different. To Jews of the day this meant that a human being was making Himself equal with God and that got Him killed. This is really a conversation about the triune nature of God. This is about a God who refuses to be separate from His creation. Jesus is called Emanuel, God with us. Jesus the human being still stands as God the Son at the right hand of the Father. Can’t you see this about family?

Just think, I wondered what James his brother thought when he remembered back sleeping next to the Lord Glory!

Hi
I have posted this reply before on another thread,
God said, This is my beloved SON of whom I am well pleased
on two special occasions.
The transfiguration and the baptism of Jesus.

Now is anyone on this thread got the guts to call God a liar
It's impossible for God to lie.

I look forward to your replies. Think carefully before you do.
Hope this helps.

Hi, Wnl.
Thank you for your courtesy.
That is just one true thing God has said.
So many more to comprehend.
Edog and I agree with this true statement you have quoted.

Hi again, it must be true because God has spoken it.
If there is anything more I could help you with ask away,
I may have the true answer for you,or others on this site.

who, although being in the form of God, thought not equality with God a thing to be grasped, but took on the form of a bond-servant, being made in the likeness of men
- Philippians 2

"The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.
- Luke 1

unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given...and his name shall be called...The everlasting Father
- Isaiah 9

of the Son He said, You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands
- Hebrews 1

Hi David, sorry for the delay,
Your questions,
Phil 2 Jesus was formed in and by the Holy Spirit of God
Jesus new that He was not equal with God
He chose personally to take on the form as a bond servant
(Jesus thoughts within Himself)

Luke 1. The verse speaks for itself. That's the exact spiritual
position we need to be and also be called the sons of God.

Is 9 Father of the flesh that He didn't live to, nailing it to the cross,
the worthless carnality, being futile, as the flesh is temporary
so why live to it. Father of the flesh, ( He had control over it)

Heb 1 first of all David I want you to think spiritual as you should
think always, or you shall not get this
I have touched on this before as many Christians of the world
can't grasp, but here goes, I will keep it as short as possible
Jesus came FROM, FROM, FROM the bosom OF God.
God GAVE, GAVE, GAVE Him All authority of righteousness
and truth and all related spirits because of Love, to demonstrate
these fruit on earth, sent as an EXAMPLE of how we should live.

Important bit you must grasp, Jesus was not God as demonstrated
in them two little words, FROM and GAVE.
This may I hope will be a great revelation in your Christian walk.

JESUS MADE NOTHING. so when you read as in this chapter and
other chapters what Jesus made.

It means that that everything and I mean everything was made in
righteousness and truth the spirits that God gave Him to demonstrate
on earth.
So everything was made of Gods spirits that God GAVE Him, temporary.
NOT HIM PERSONALLY they were not His spirits
Jesus will hand these spirits back to God one day, when all His enemies
are under His feet, Then we will become ALL IN ALL
Hope this helps,
With Love Wnl
