Jesus Had The Blues

Jesus had the blues
And I can see all the same things now,
Folks set ‘em selves up
As profits, always on the gain
Takin’ all the money an’ goods
Never healin’ the pain

Targetin’ the poor an’ needy
Sayin’ “you give to me…
God’ll give to you”!

His men couldn’t hear His words
(some things never change)
Though He told it to their ears
Complete with miracles… parables…healings
Unbelief didn’t quench their fears

How long He cried
“How long my friends?
This world will pass, brothers…
But don’t listen to their ends!”

“I am the way…
Believe in me
See my judgements past
Don’t follow vain persons, men…
Sow your lives to that which lasts.”

Yes, Jesus had the blues
And people wonder why
Instead of looking deep within
They all looked to the sky

Jesus had the blues
An’ even tho He cried
No-one would believe in Him
Until the day He died

Jesus had the blues
with folks like me an’ you
Yet He offered up His life
So believing, we’ll get thru.

Greetings louis,

I was only listening to one of my first takes yesterday! I'm not very impresed with it and am waiting for one or two bluesmen to help out a bit.... for my version, and have asked another beautiful brother in the Lord to do something with it, which will be his version.

When I get something more suitable to ones ears done, I will let you know!

Ok that sounds good. I was curious so I went and had a look at your testimony.
Firstly, you look nothing like what I thought you would, and secondly, the fact that you're still alive just shows how valuable you are to Him, and I can see why.
