Jesus said "It is finished." Is it not enough for us?

Is it not enough that we've had food and shelter enough that we've made it this far? Is it not enough that we have the Bible that we may know God? Is it not enough that, beyond food and shelter, that we have been favored with cars, electricity, heating and air, indoor plumbing, refridgeration, or any other blessings that we can imagine? Will we go to our grave dissatisfied for whatever perceived lack we may consider that we think would make our little lifetimes, on this little pebble that we call earth, better? Is it not finished? Can we not say Oh Lord my God thank You so much for all you have provided us? Man you have provided us, Lord God, is that in itself not enough for us to give you thanks. You Lord God have provided the Bible that we can know you and know that you are with us and have never left nor forsaken humanity since the sixth day when you created us. Not only that Lord, you have done what you required that we might fellowship with you here and hereafter. My brother and King Lord God Jesus it is enough for me. We both know that I am going to go on being the human that I am and that I will continue with my moments and sentiments of disatisfaction, till I hit my grave, and with my requests that things for me, in this physical existence, be different but I have learned that nothing that You permit or have permitted or will has been for anything but mine and humanity's good. Whatever disatisfaction may arise in and through my humanness, Lord God Jesus, attribute it to it and not to me who has learned that you have provided all and that You have done, are doing, and will do all things well. Whatever I face and whatever my end Lord God, i give you thanks.

That's enough for us, but what about the others? 2 Corinthians 9:7-12 (CJB)

7 Each should give according to what he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.[a] 8 Moreover, God has the power to provide you with every gracious gift in abundance, so that always in every way you will have all you need yourselves and be able to provide abundantly for every good cause — 9 as the Tanakh says,

“He gave generously to the poor;
his tzedakah lasts forever.”

10 He who provides both seed for the planter and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed and increase the harvest of your tzedakah. 11 You will be enriched in every way, so that you can be generous in everything. And through us your generosity will cause people to thank God, 12 because rendering this holy service not only provides for the needs of God’s people, but it also overflows in the many thanks people will be giving to God.

Are we going to selfishly look at only ourselves? What about the poor? The widows? They need support too.

I'm just curious to why you think that God would not attribute your works to your person in the day of judgment when He's already told us that's what He will do? The actions of our person in this body comes from our heart; our spirit man/will. And because God is no respect of persons, everyman will give account of the works they do. God will not attribute a man's works as sin, but they will be judged according to whether or not they've been obedient to His requirmentments to remain in His Kingdom. If they are not worthy, because of their disobedience, they will be gathered out of God's Kingdom and given their part with the unbelievers.

God does count on mere humans because His word will not come back unto Him void. When God commanded Adam to obey Him by not eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that was God telling man he is accountable. Because God created man in His image and likeness, He created man with the ability to obey. Even more so now in Christ that Satan has been judged. Believers have now received more power than they've ever had. God has told believers they've been given power over the devil. If they choose not to use that power they will give account. This is why mere humans fall short now because they choose not to believe because they are fearful and want God to do the work they are responsible for. They choose not to use the power of God.

God will not turn away from His commandment for man to obey Him and makes man responsible to obey. This is why in the day of Judgment He will say to man, "Well done faithful servant" and they will be rewarded because they believed in what Jesus has done and given them to do. Those that obey will receive praise and glory from God for their obedience. Those that disobey will be cast into the fire. The ability in obedience is in the power of mere humans making the choice if they desire to be led of God's Spirit through His word or not.

I would like to share some things with you about the scripture you quoted, and explain what the context talks about on our (believers) behalf.

Believers "do not" fall short of God’s glory anymore because He is not judging anyone at this time. Neither is God imputing sin so a believer cannot fall short.

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Rom 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Rom 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins "that are past," through the forbearance of God;

The reason all, “HAVE” sinned, (past tense), and come short of God’s glory is because all were born in unbelief and were condemned until they gained the knowledge of Jesus Christ. After sin was judged and man believed they came unto the knowledge of the truth, and became justified or made innocent from sin. Old Covenant believers could not be made righteous from sin.

Romans 3:24 explains the reasons it’s past tense. Believers have “now” been justified or made innocent of sin after being redeemed by Jesus Christ. A believer cannot come short of God’s glory until the Day of Judgment when God will reveal those believers that are truly just and those who are not; but who has believed in vain.

1Co 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will “make manifest the counsels of the hearts:” and “then” “shall every man have praise of God.”

Romans 3:25 continues to tells us, Jesus is the propitiation or the atonement for our sins “that are in the past.” I may have told you, all sins are in the past and were condemned by the obedience of Christ on the cross.

He may not consider us worthy?! Then what did He die for?! He will have mercy on who He wants? Are you intimating that there are those whom He will not forgive?

Luke 13:3; "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
Luke 13:5; "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."

I suppose these two verses in Luke 13 could be spoken about unbelievers.
However the verses below are specifically written to the churches.

Rev 2:5; 'Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place—unless you repent.
Rev 2:16; 'Therefore repent; or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of My mouth.
Rev 2:21; 'I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality.
Rev 2:22; 'Behold, I will throw her on a bed of sickness, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds.
Rev 3:3; 'So remember what you have received and heard; and keep it, and repent. Therefore if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you.

The verses below were also written to believers, (unbelievers would not hold fast to the confession of their hope, they have no hope).

Heb 10:23; Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;
Heb 10:24; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
Heb 10:25; not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.
Heb 10:26; For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

Back to believers who have "escaped the defilements of this world"

2 Pet 2:20; For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
2 Pet 2:21; For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them.
2 Pet 2:22; It has happened to them according to the true proverb, "A DOG RETURNS TO ITS OWN VOMIT," and, "A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire."
