Yes, Jesus Christ died on that cross, taking upon himself our sins. He, thus, in his death, put our sins to death with him. And then he rose from the dead victorious over sin, Satan, hell, and death, on our behalf, so that, by faith in him, we can now die with him to sin, by his grace, and walk with him in obedience and in holy living and no longer in slavery to sin, in the power of God. All glory to God.
