The thread about Trump selling bibles reminded me of this.
Years ago,over 30,I would go to the Bible Book Store.
The price on everything was ridiculous.
I remember #2 yellow pencils at any other store costing a nickel. But because these had Jesus Loves You on them,they cost 2.50.
Just thought I would share it.

Secular companies would sell them to pander to us.
So-called "Christian" companies would sell them at that price and claim "It's more expensive to produce."

Capitalism at its best, lol. Buy the pencils in bulk at 3 cents each, then make a jig with steel letters that read JESUS LOVES YOU. makes the letters red hot, burn it into the pencils and resell them at a higher cost.

This is still true. I've had similar experience with Temu and Christian stuff. Not all, but a lot of it.
When did Trump sell Bibles?
