There is a popular fictional series of movies that have come out over the last few years called "The Transformers"
It's pretty cool, these giant robots can turn into cars and other vehicles and back into robots again.
The leader of these robots was a guy named Optimus Prime, but as cool as he is, he can't turn anyone else into a transformer.
Jesus not only transformed lives, he gives us the power to change others as well. Actually he just uses us as tools, he is
the one who changes people. But he does it the hard way, it's easy to change the way you look, a little make-up, hair-dye,
a different hair-do, and some tanning... viola' the new you. Which really isn't a new you, it's the same old you with a
different look. Jesus doesn't change the way you look so much as he changes your heart, your mind, and your soul.

Rom 12:2; And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
The Bible says we should be transformed, not conformed to this world. We should be different.

2 Cor 3:18; But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
It says we are being transformed into his image,

2 Cor 4:16; Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.
Even though our fleshly body is getting older an dying, our (spiritual) heart is renewed day by day!!

2 Cor 4:2 but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
We should be renouncing those things we used to do and are now ashamed of.

Matt 18:3; and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.
We need to be converted, changed, different from how we were before.

Eph 4:23; and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
We need to be renewed.

Col 3:10; and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him--
We need to put on the new self, that is constantly being renewed, according to the image of the one....

2 Cor 5:17; Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
In fact if we are in Christ, we are a new person, with a new heart, a new mind, and the old sin-ful lives we used to live should be passed away.

1Jn 2:6; the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.

Rom 6:4; Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
The whole purpose of burying the old self, is so that we can walk in newness of life.

Eph 2:10; For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Eph 4:1; Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,
We should be walking the walk, not just talking the talk. Actions speak louder than words.

1 Pet 4:3; For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties and abominable idolatries.
1 Pet 4:4; In all this, they are surprised that you do not run with them into the same excesses of dissipation, and they malign you;
Are your old unsaved friends surprised by the way you are living now? Do they think it's strange you aren't still doing the things you used to do?

Acts 9:21; All those hearing him continued to be amazed, and were saying, "Is this not he who in Jerusalem destroyed those who called on this name, and who had come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief priests?"
The people who knew who Saul was were amazed at how his life had changed once he became a believer.

Eph 4:1; Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,
We should be walking the walk, not just talking the talk. Actions speak louder than words.

Col 2:6; Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,
If you have received Christ, walk as he did. Live like he did. Serving and loving others. (Was there anything he did more often?)

1 Jn 1:7; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
We need to be be walking in the light, not in the darkness of our old sinful lives.

1 Jn 2:6; the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.
If you aren't walking as Jesus walked, he doesn't abide in you, no matter what you say that you believe in.

Rom 6:6; knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;
If our self self is truly crucified, we are no longer serving the flesh and it's sinful deeds. We should no longer be slaves to sin.

Eph 4:22; that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit,

Col 3:9; Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices,

Jas 1:22; But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.
If you are only saying you are a Christian, and not living like one, you are deluding yourself.
Simply saying you believe in Jesus isn't enough, you need to live like it.

Remember even the pharisee's and Herod knew Jesus existed. Even Satan and the demons believe in Jesus.
But they weren't his followers, they didn't live like he did. They didn't let Jesus turn them into transformers.

Rom 13:14; But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.

In Christian theology, divinization (deification, making divine, or theosis) is the transforming effect of divine grace, the spirit of God, or the atonement of Christ..

God became a man so that man could become (like) God. :lightbulb This is what it truly means to be a "son of God", that we resemble His likeness.
