Today was a very challenging day for me so I would like to write about it, not for my good but rather to lift up my Lord and my Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Last night I slept very poorly, as sometimes I do, so hence this morning when I started my day I felt exhausted and drained.
At 10 am I was in a 'meeting' with a medical practitioner and 'out of the blue' we started to chat about Jesus Christ vs Religion. Our conversation was not heated, it was in fact a wonderful experience.
As the 'meeting' came to a close, it was suggested to me, not to return! I found the request a little confusing but the Lord spoke to me and gave me this Scripture. Proverbs 3:5-6.
About noon, I received a phone call from a well meaning person from a Pentecostal Church which I had attended just a few weeks ago. He asked if I will be returning to this place of worship and to that I explained why I will not and pointed him to Scripture pertaining to 'speaking in tongues'. Acts 2:6 and 1 Corintians 14:13.
He had nothing Scriptural to respond with and quickly said 'good-day.'
So I felt a little saddened by both experiences, yet the Lord spoke to me again and pointed me to three Scripture; Hebrews 13:5 and Romans 8:31 and Romans 8:37-39.
My beloved friends, whatever you are going through today, please keep in mind that God loves you just as you are. You may be a Child of Christ by the shedding of His Blood for us, yet you may not 'feel' saved as a result of some turmoil that you are experiencing. Do not believe your feelings, just know that you are Saved and you are a Child of God.
