i was just wondering. i understand that the God we worship is YAHWEH same as the jews but do they except the fact that we serve the same God and do we except the fact that they serve the same God as us?
just a random thought.

The Old Covenant is the covenant of a servant.
The New Covenant is the covenant of a son.
The same God but a better relationship.

man, God really loves Israel.....

the Jews -- do not accept the fact that Christ, our Lord and Savior, or Yeshua Hamashiach [please just correct me if the spelling is wrong], is the Son of God - the Messiah of the prophecies in the Old Testament - God, Himself.

The Jews are actually still waiting for their Messiah to come.

That was why Christianity turned to the Gentiles. Yeshua said that since the Jews kept turning Him away, He will turn to the Gentiles. And make them jealous, therefore, by giving salvation and blessing to the Gentiles. (Romans 11:11, Acts 28:28, Romans 11:14)

We, on the other hand, accept the fact that Yahweh, the God they believe in, is our God as well. He is the Father, and He has given us His Son to have a relationship with Him. (John 14:6)

Amen Boanerges

Although the new covenant is meant for all, sadly only a few will actually follow.

I've always held a fascination with the Jewish culture. One of my dreams is to learn Hebrew. During my research this past year I was invited to a Shabbat and when I went I was presented with a Torah from WWII. It made it out of Germany and was a fascinating relic; the Rabbi even read from it for me. The Rabbi taught me how the service was suppose to go but he refused to acknowledge Jesus. I sat in shock; I couldn't understand how they could be so blind. That was my first experience with anything Jewish (besides food ) and I left sad and spent a long time questioning a calling the Lord has given me. It wasn't until a few months after I was introduced to a Messianic Jew, a Jew who believes in the Messiah. I haven't had the time to research and participate in Shabbats at a Messianic Synagogue but they love the Lord and proclaim Jesus Christ as the "only way." I've been dying to go to the synagogue again but the language and culture is so foreign to me. The Jesus that Christians worship can be the Jesus that Jews worship as well.

lol thank you, for sharing that's awesome. As far as the Jews are concerned, yes that is sad. I was accused of propagating some kind of new age or modern Judaism. I got a chuckle out of that. A friend of mine recently completed what he needed to become a Rabbi, in October he went to Israel to be ordained, right after that he surrendered his title and seat as a Rabbi because he would not denounce the teachings of Jesus. He has always been a Christian first...

modern Judaism, what ever that is, I have no idea what it even means...lol as you can see there is nothing modern about Judaism even in 2008.

The Torah though, wow!! what an incredible gift. You are really blessed. The Torah is believed to be the Laws of God, what we have in the first 5 books of the O.T. Alone with the 10 commandments were those scrolls that God gave Moses. Which he placed in ark of the covenant. I agree with the food comment.
