Recently the Lord put it on my heart to donate some money to Agape International Missions, an organization that rescues women caught in sex trafficking in Cambodia. It's $5 a bible (for bibles in Khmer) and I want to support that and join in the fight again trafficking as a whole, and that's something specific the Lord has put on my heart to help with.

It's also come to my attention that they have a program that connects AIM with churches. My contact there writes, "That big project I've mentioned that has most of my time occupied? It's called the Freedom Mandate and we're looking to awaken 1,000 churches to the reality that healing of the hurting and freedom for the exploited isn't the work of governments and institutions, it's the very reason the Church exists. Basically, we're looking for 1,000 churches to partner for the next 3 years in accepting their Freedom Mandate. The cliff notes version of what that means for a church is 1) Giving 2) Discipling and 3) Sharing. For me, the really exciting part is that we're looking to connect with individuals who want to bring their church on board and don't know how/where to start. "

My church said no, and I understand why - we are understaffed and we also are trying to send one of our members to the Middle East at the moment, she leaves next month.

But this has been a prayer burden and so I'm posting it here in case there's anyone that has a church that could partner with them. And also to ask the ladies in particular to consider this group in their prayers.

This is their website.

Most likely I will wait until I have my house warming to ask people to donate there instead of giving gifts (via Facebook next month) and in the future do that with my birthday, but if there is anyone out there interested in partnering with me with this? Or has ideas about how I can join with other believers and not be such a Lone Ranger with this burden? I would very much welcome not just prayer support but pooling our resources to give to them as a body. The Lord has been impressing on me to take my light out of the bushel basket lately and let His movements in my life be known more. I tend to keep this kind of thing too much to myself, some of it keeping the treasure n heaven, but because also - although it's hard to confess and admit - I simply fear. It would edify me much to not support them alone. Thanks for reading and peace and blessings to you!!!
