I love that quote
Being virtuous is no feat once temptation ceases.
- Author Unknown

Honestly, I haven't been too virtuous lately. I've wallowed in self-pity.
I need to see things past myself, and start fresh again_
The thing is as we grow older, we get a clearer perspective on things.
As for me, I see in the mirror of my past things that I could have done better, and smarter choices not made_
And frankly this has quite distress me or should I say depress...

You know what people say about mid-life crisis? Well, it's true such thing exist. However, I discovered that such crisis does not necessarily wait for us to be in the middle of life road. It can happen at 15, 20, or even earlier. This is a pivotal moment when one takes the plunge into the abyss of his own soul an chiver. And the cry that comes out is: "I'm not that virtuous after all!"
I' MMMMMMM NOOOOOOOT THAAAAAAAT VIIIIIIIRTUUUUUUUOUUUUUUUS AAAAAAAFTEEEEEEER AAAAAAALL!
And the echo reverbates those words like a drum thugging at one's heart.

I'm not 30 yet, and I know. My mid-life crisis came unannounced and without its invitation card. It came swirling and smilling like a wind play_ you know, when that little wind comes and decide to tease that precious paper of yours, and have you running after it. yes, it came swirling like a wind play, being a tornado in disguise_

What does one do when devastation strikes? SCREAM! would be the appropriate and normal answer. However, that LIFE does not kick and curse. Never taught me how. It takes it in and smile. Smile.... yeah, but not that smile to which the brightest sun rises to. it's the smile of the lonely on an empty country road. Hey, maybe it's the smile of the star waving to her fans from a thirthy story high complex. Waving to the fanthoms and shadows lying under the cover of the dark.

Well, I've wrote my share for the day. Maybe I'll take a second go at it tomorrow_

Interesting share. Yes, mid-life crisis does not belong to mid-life only, it can happen much earlier. Be without fear in the face of your enemies, including so-called crisis. Our faith on God will lead us and God will deliver us faith, hope and love, along with truth, life and road. What is life? Jesus said: I AM.

Thanks Parasons and some more

Hi, thanks for reading and for your comment.
Your words are uplifting. I do thank God for you and pray that you persevere in your walk with him until the day of His coming
I thank God for His grace and mercy that has kept, and that still preserve me.

"Today I choose to follow You
Today I choose to give my yes to You
Today I choose to hear Your voice and live
Today I choose to follow You

As for me and my house
We will serve You
As for me and my house
We will spend our lives on You
Today

Wonderful Counselor
Everlasting Father
Eternal King Lord of Hosts
Willingly we follow"
I love that song by Promise Keepers_ I know they sing it, but I am not sure if it's technically theirs...

The thing is when I started writing in this thread, what I typed was not what I planned to spill out
A good reminder of " l 'homme propose, Dieu dispose" :)
(man makes plans but only God carries out the real plan _ that's not an exact translation, sorry)
well, it's almost shut eyes time for me_
