CHRISTIANS UNITE TO KEEP AHMADINEJAD OUT
ECI Warns Europeans: 'Learn from History'
June 16, 2006
On the eve of Iran's crucial June 17th World Cup soccer contest against Portugal in Frankfurt, concerned Christians across Europe have joined forces to ensure that Holocaust-denying Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad nor his deputy will not be allowed to attend.
Speaking at the launch of a new Brussels-based campaign, European Coalition for Israel spokesman Tomas Sandel encouraged Christians who love Israel to make their voice heard on Iran.
"The Iranian president, like Hitler, employs the rhetoric of genocide and is busily arming himself with the weapons to carry it out. Now is the time for Europe's citizens to speak out loud and clear to say that neither Ahmadinejad nor his deputy are welcome here."
Sandel's comments follow news reports that President Ahmadinejad and his Vice-President are openly considering attending the World Cup Soccer tournament in Germany if the Iranians beat Portugal and progress to the second round.
"Today, on the eve of Iran's Group D game in Frankfurt we have launched a major information campaign to send a powerful grassroots message from the citizens of Europe," Sandel adds.
"We won't stand silent in the face of another Hitler. Let's show the world that we have learnt from history!"
Please pray for this venture.......Thanks
