These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.... Ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
- John 15:11, 16:24

Whatever is happening in your life today, you need to stir up the joy that is within you as a born-again child of God. How can you do that? For starters, you can begin by meditating on the Word of God. When you meditate on the Word and revelation begins to rise in your heart, joy comes! It comes because you begin to have a deeper and clearer knowledge of the Father. It comes because you realize you can go boldly before Him in prayer on the basis of the Word, and be confident your prayers will be answered. If you've been sorrowing over a wayward child, for example, you can replace your sad thoughts with a revelation of God's promise in Isaiah 54:13, and joy will come into your heart. Suddenly, instead of crying over what the devil is doing to that child, start shouting about what God will do. You laugh and say, "You might as well forget it, devil. Just pack up and go home right now, because as far as I'm concerned, the victory is won. All my children shall be taught of the Lord. And great shall be the peace of my children!" Then when the devil comes back at you and says, Maybe so, but aren't you sorry over all the years that child has wasted? you can shoot the Word right back at him and say, "No, I'm not sorry. I don't have to be sorry because Jesus bore my griefs and carried my sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). So I'll just go ahead and have myself a grand time rejoicing in Him!" Proverbs 15:23 says, "A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth." When you start answering the troubles and trials you're facing with the Word of God, it will release joy in you and run the devil off. He can't stand the joy of the Lord! So stir up that joy within you. Meditate the Word. Replace wrong thoughts with God's thoughts. And enjoy the victory!

Faith

No if everyone would come over and read this, and do it. There would be a lot less issues In our lives.

How often do we run to God for this and that, when this or that is already there, in the Word. God's Truth, the truth that is suppose to be in our life.

God's World can never fail for those that will take the time to sow the word in and believe only.

Jesus Is Lord.

that's right praise God, Jesus said "The sower sow's the word". the field is the heart, so first you have to put the word in before it will come out. Paul said in collossians 3:16, Let the Words of Christ in all their richness, live in your hearts, use His words to teach and council each other. Glory to God. Faith, Love and Peace is All you need, Jesus has done All the hard work Amen

If the joy of the Lord is indeed our strength (and it is) then no joy means no strength. Truly we must abide in the Vine that His life and joy may flow through us. Anything less is both settling for less than our inheritance in Christ and leaving ourselves weak, exposed and vulnerable.

Joy of the Lord

Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Looking again at that scripture............ I never noticed the second part as much until now. This scripture is also telling you how to stay filled with the Spirit of the Lord, and not let your tanks get empty.

The Words of the Lord have to be in your heart, the assurance, the faith building life of the Word, and the Joy of the Lord must also be present in Power and anointing............... That is a awesome scripture!!!! thanx!!!

Now if you could just send me a text message to remind me that freaking out over stuff and getting grumpy about it is going to be self defeating............ Worry is a killer.............

Jesus Is Lord.

Mike my brother we all have our moments do we not? LOL!
A very wise man once said "habits are children of our choices".
Like Peter we walk on the water of our circumstances as long as our eyes are fixed on Jesus. But let us direct our attention to the problems in light of our own resources we will surely start to sink fast. It truly never ceases to amaze me how fast we tend to rely on ourselves though the same result is basically inevitable.
I try to make a habit of looking at my trials as on opportunity to see God move. When I am wise enough to do that I never cease to be amazed at His love and grace. Isn't it wonderful not to have to fight our way through life but instead glide through our issues taking each and every step trusting Him to work all things for the good? Honestly I get excited thinking about it.
