this is mostly for the mods and chad i guess but any one else having this issue also,

i browse through the site as you do, answering forums making new threads, but after at least 30 mins/half an hour, TJ boot's me from the system and i have to log back in. i'm curious is this my PC or something to do with the website as a "safety" aspect??

it's actually frustrating because i will be answering a post and then i'll go to send it and it is greyed out telling me i'm only on the web site as a guest??

any ideas mods or chad??

Love Abraxix!!!

i was getting the same problem before and somehow I have managed to find a way around it on firefox. I had to select to allow cookies from TJ.

God bless  :rainbow: :rose:

Aww so i need to be using firefox then??

that's a bummer, I'm just using the internet explorer, Windows has, ATM I'm at work but ok I'll have to try it at Home because i have the same issues at home also which is a bit annoying. : >

thank's for the Help LLJ!!

Firefox is a lot safer than IE in my opinion, you dont get as much spyware using it.

I had similar experiences and will check out Firefox as I am using IE 7

Firefox can be downloaded here: [edited by teraside:posting link without permission]

I have also switched to Firefox, since I experienced the exact same problem brother. I will send brother Chad a pm to have a look at this thread.

God bless you

Thank's i was goign to alert Chad, but i was not sure if it was just my Pc or not. hehehe!!! thank's. Terasie, i think we should alert all people who are using IE i guess....????

No need to alert anyone brother, there is no security issue . TJ is a big forum and it takes a lot of maintenance, I think Chad will find a "solution" to the problem, he won't let it slide.

Technically, there's nothing wrong, IE7 just forgets the cookies, and the forum has to work around the problems of IE.

God bless

Hi Abraxix Storm, don't change your browser. I use IE on both at home and at work. Sometimes I do to get kicked off, but not all the time. In fact that only started last week, prior to that I didn't experience any problems.

I put it down to satan not wanting me to read anything to do with Jesus or Gods Word. lol, but he is not going to win.

Also, please check "Remember Me" when logging in as well.

I've had this problem too, ever since I disabled the cookies. I did this so that my daughter could have a separate account from me, here at talkJesus. But it has caused some problems. For instance, every time I go to do banking online at my checking account, they want a new password. Ouch!

I may "able" the cookies back on, or however you say it.

Computers. What a puzzle. People are much easier to understand than computers. I love people. I only like computers because they bring me into contact with other people.

Right well thanks all for the help... and yeah i've got firefox at home and all but i'm no allowed to install at work, my brother set up the download and installation restrictions, and i can't hack them. : < lol oh well i'll deal with it at work.. : >

Thanks again!!!

I have this problem with Internet Explorer 7, cookies enabled.

I don't see the "remember me" check box though, there's only space for a user name and password with the button "go".

The problem is random, sometimes it remembers me for the entire day, other times I get logged out every 5 minutes.

I don't have this problem on Firefox, but my Firefox problem is that when I view the index, it asks to install a Apple Quicktime plugin, even if I install quicktime the message doesn't go away.

That's on Firefox 2, latest official release.

God bless

I have the same problem at the moment with Firefox, allthough I do have the Apple program on my computer, Firefox 2 don't see it, it wants to download it again. Other than that no kicking at all on Firefox 2.

I have the latest firefox as recently it downloaded another update and all goes well now I have found out how to allow cookies from TJ.

God bless  :rainbow: :rose:

Well i'm not sure what's happening, i'm currently at Tafe, using the latest IE. and i allowed the cookies and everything and it's still. booting me?? i'm now wondering could it be something to do with my profile? or something that is going on with my registration?? could i be being trapped? am i being pulled down by he enemy being kept away from the site??

what's going on? lol

i'm fine at home but when i'm at home i'm on here not as much as when i'm out so lol i'm more after fixing things at work. Argh?? lol.. thought i had ti all fixed using the latest version of IE, but obviously not.. :
