If you want to know how God is then look at Jesus, I want you to see God's true nature. Not what people think because of circumstances, but his true nature and character. First of all I want you to see what the scripture says about God and not peoples opinion. I want you to see this scripture in different translations: Hebrews 1:3
New International Version
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
New Living Translation
The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.
Contemporary English Version
God's Son has all the brightness of God's own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together. After the Son had washed away our sins, he sat down at the right side of the glorious God in heaven.
I just wanted to show you that, when you see Jesus you are looking at the nature and character of God. I want you to understand that because it amazes me how some people get offended when you talk about healing. But, let me tell you something, healing was God's idea first. That's why one of his covenant names is Jehovah Rapha The Lord that heals or our healer. People get offended, but I never read about Jesus getting offended when people wanted to be healed. I don't see Jesus coming up with excuses not to heal, in fact, I see just the opposite. He was more than willing, so don't let people talk you into believing like them that it's wrong to want healing. Let The Bible show you God's nature and character and people's opinions. Let's look at another Luke 4:18:
New International Version
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.
New Living Translation
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free.
New American Standard Bible
“THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO BRING GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM RELEASE TO CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET FREE THOSE WHO ARE OPPRESSED.
Don't let people talk you into thinking everything is spiritual, that word blind is physical blindness in The Strong's Concordance it's #5185. And notice it talks about setting free those who are oppressed, well let's see who it is talking about. Let's look at Act 10:38New Living Translation
And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. Wait a minute there's a key word there did you miss it, All. He didn't pick and choose who was worthy enough, that's not God. Jesus even said I and The Father are one and he also said when you see me you see The Father.
I just wanted to do this real quick to encourage people, because I hate it when people come with there negativity and unbelief against people looking for healing. Let The Bible show you God and not someone's uninformed opinion. You keep believing, you keep trusting because He is faithful. God Bless!
It is not God's will that any should perish. And I wouldn't want to end this article without giving someone the opportunity to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's very easy just pray: Dear God- I know I have sinned and I now turn from them and I invite Jesus to come into my heart (Revelation 3:20). He died for my sins and you have raised him from the dead and I now confess Jesus is my Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9,10). I thank you for saving me, Amen
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12). 1 Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Romans 5:8-10 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. [10] For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 2 Peter 3:9 King James Version 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
