LGBTQ radicals reportedly deluged Target with bomb threats in retaliation to it pulling back on some of its Pride Month merchandise.

It's a no-win situation for the Target chain. Putting the clothes on display triggers people; not putting them on display triggers people. In the end, it's a business decision determined by the vast majority of their customers are straight and see no need for such clothing as they previously got along wearing the same clothes as every one else.
