Where is God when we need Him?
Most are familiar with the Fruit of the Spirit.... ( Galatians 5: 22)
Love
Joy
Peace
Long-suffering
Gentleness
Goodness
Faith
Meekness
Temperance
So, where is God?
God is Spirit, and those who are born of Him are renewed by His Spirit, and those who live in Him have the fruit of the Spirit.
So, still, where is God when we need Him?
Well, Jesus is one with God, and those who seek Him and come to God through Him, are one with God and therefore one with Jesus. Where does Jesus live. Most say in our hearts. So where is He when we need Him?
Let's look at the fruit again.... what are the characteristics of God in Christ Jesus the Lord? Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
But where is He?
Let's look at ourselves..... do we exhibit the living Lord in our lives? Does our fruit testify to Him? And such holiness as forgiveness?
You see, to live in love, we must live in Him..... and He lives in what we know as the fruit of the Spirit.... in fact, the two can not be seperated....we can not have one without the other. Where Jesus is, there is the Spirit of God and therefore the fruit of the Spirit.
Often when we have troubles, if we are honest (in truth), we can see we are removed from the fruit. Are our actions and reactions in line with Jesus?
( Do not get confused here with those who suffer for doing good, or those who have trials, severe and painful..... but see these words as help for dealing with matters that cause us problems and leave us needing God's peace)
You see, if we walk away from Jesus in our lives, meaning, if we step away in our actions and reactions, then He did not move...we did!
So by dealing with others and with circumstances, we need to come back to Jesus... and we need to put into practice the fruit ..... because in it, He lives, and in it we too can live in love with Him.... for where the fruit of the Spirit is, Jesus is, and where Jesus is...so is the fruit of the Spirit.
So, where is God ..... or is it rather, where are we?
Many of our life's problems are due to us seperating ourselves from God in Christ Jesus as we go about our interacting with others.
Return to Jesus and you will find Him ..... live in Love and look and see that those problems are no longer there.
Next time you have that question... "God, where are you".... listen, and you may hear Him say, "My child, I am here, where are you?"
