Hi everybody.
Yes, I know, I am actually not new. But this is really the first time I get an opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Schantal. I am from South Africa, but currently in London, UK. I am going back to SA on 24 November. Please feel free to send me a private message. I am in Hillsong church, London. And I absolutely love it. I am on fire for Jesus and like to meet more people that is like that!

I live in the North of England and have heard about the Hillsong church in London. I last heard that this congregation now numbers over 3,000 people, mostly under 35 y.o.a. I would be grateful if you could confirm that this figure of about 3,000 people is correct?

If it is, that is just wonderful, seeing that this congregation is quite new. The last 10 years I believe?

I am great, how are you? Well yes, Hillsong is alive and on fire for Jesus.

In church they don't really give us statistics. But there is one thing I can tell you though. Our church consist of about 6000 members. How many of them under 35 is, I don't know. We have church in the Dominion Theatre in Central London. We have 3 services on a Sunday. And the theatre can take up to 2500 people at a time. So, I hope that gave you a little bit of a heads up of what is going on.

6,000 members.....in Hillsong, London,....whew... and I dont think the fellowship is 10 years old yet.

Be careful with this Church Sister, it caters to the world, and seeks to please the world. If we seek to please men, we may not be pleasing God...

Dont get me wrong, but i believe the saints have what they need in Gods word, Rick Warrens book is not the bible and some think it is. Wanna see real conversions and Gods power to change lives? preach the gospel of Christ and him crucified, and that should do it. Then feed the sheep...milk is only good for so long, then it gets sour...:star: And bring glory to God and his word, not Rich Warren and his word. But ill let the lord be the judge of that.


Act 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

The U.K. is a small area, and within the church scene it is easy to check a church out. This I have done.

Gary Clarke, the Pastor, is a Minister within the fellowship of the A.O.G. He is an ecellent expositor of scripture, and bible teacher. He is a brother of good standing within the fellowship od A.O.G. He does not have any connections with the book Purpose Driven Life or its author. The Hillsongs church in London is the largest congregation in the British Isles. I have on good authority a figure of 8.000

Hillsongs London relates to Hillsongs Australia. I asked the question re under 35's because whenever I have seen Hillsongs Australia, on Christian T.V. with their Pastor Brian Houston, the large congregation (1,000s) are under 40 y.o.a.

We need to be aware of error within the church today, but Hillsongs London is o.k.

Thanx for the welcome. Nice to meet you. Yes, it is great to be excited about Jesus and about going to church. I've never experienced such freedom when it comes to church. I am originally from SA, but currently in UK and if you would talk to other South Africans, you would hear that church over there can be pretty bad. Everybody wants to be christians, just for the label of it, but they don't live the life and then they make the true christians look bad. That is why I love Hillsong so much, because if somebody says he is christian, you can believe him and actually know that he will live the life.
