How do you deal with loneliness? I do not have a friend in the world and I am still not married. I pray about it but I am still so lonely.

Loneliness is one of the hardest things to deal with in this life, especially for the believer in Christ. There are so many paths that lead from Christ when one acts on loneliness.

Christ has promised to be with us, but we have to be with Him no matter what comes our way. The danger is making the wrong friends.

The best friends are of the household of God, in His Church, not any Church, but the the one He has chosen for you.

Devote yourself to prayer in His will, God has a mysterious way of sending someone to help us find our way in the time of need. The Bible records it time after time.

The Lord hasn't forgotten you, and you mustn't forget Him. You have a purpose in this life!

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Rom. 8:28

Hi Chihuahua, that's really really sad, but do you know something, it's something that nearly all of us go through at one phase in our life. I can particularly relate to how you feel. I don't have really close friends. Yes, I'm married but that's pretty much on the rocks, so I've decided to focus on that other love in my life.

If you'd like to chat, please inbox me. I'd like to be your first friend

Best wishes,

Andy

I like what you said "Christ has promised to be with us, but we have to be with Him no matter what comes our way." Yes I think God has protected me throughout my life from making the wrong friends and getting mixed in with the wrong crowd. I agree the best friends are of the household of God I don't want to be friends with or marry a non Christian I feel like those people live in a whole other world than I do not trying to sound rude but that is the truth about how I feel. When you say the church God has chosen for me do you mean other Christians or do you mean like church as in a building? When you say devote myself in prayer in His will do you mean that I should pray for His will to be done in my life? Thank you for your kind and encouraging words.

Thank you so much :) I am also wanting to get closer to God

Maybe this alone time for me is really a blessing in disguise. I have more time for myself and to work on myself and grow spiritually. I also want to get closer to God and Jesus I want to learn more about the Holy Spirit too.

I heard someone say something like Christians are usually alone in this world I guess because we are not like most people in this world and we usually don't fit in.

"Seek you first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you." Matt. 6:33

It's all about faith that He will supply your needs. God acts on faith. He rewards those who seek after Him in faith. Hebrews 11:6

If you haven't found a Church to attend, it's time to pray for His guidance to find one.

Find a Bible believing Church that loves God and get involved. The best cure I know for loneliness.
