You know a lot of people want Jesus to be their Savior. No one wants to go to hell forever.
But it seems not everyone wants Jesus to be their Lord. What is a Lord?

one having power and authority over others: a. : a ruler by hereditary right or preeminence to whom service and obedience are due.Jul 6, 2023 - merriam-webster.com

I am the oldest of 5 siblings. When we were children, I would tell my brother or sisters to do something, and they would say "You're not the boss of me". ( I wasn't )
I think some of us do that with Jesus. Oh we believe in Him, we just don't want to obey Him.

Luke 6:46; "Why do you call Me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say?

The word "Lord" is in the New Testament over 650 times (NASB) . Not many other words are in the Bible that often.
Now, if I'm honest I didn't check every single verse, but a quick cursory look seems to show that almost all of verses are about Jesus.
Jesus is supposed to be our Lord. If He really is our Lord, He has authority over us.

A similar word is "master". This word is in the New Testament 50 times (NASB) again, I would say the majority of these are talking about Jesus.
The disciples called Jesus master a few places. I did find a few verses like "Sin shall not be master over you", that aren't specifically about Jesus.
Now Jesus may be your savior and redeemer, but the simple question I ask... Is Jesus your Lord and master?
Do you do the things He says to do in the Bible? Do you live the way He says to live in the Bible?

Matt 7:24; "Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Matt 7:25; "And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
Matt 7:26; "Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
Matt 7:27; "The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall."

John 3:1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, Nicodemus his name, a ruler of the Jews:
2 the same came unto him by night, and said to him, Rabbei, we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no one can do these *signs which thou doest, except *God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, Amen, Amen, I say unto thee, Except one be born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of *God.
4 *Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born being an old man? can he enter a second time into the womb of his *mother, and be born?
5 *Jesus answered, Amen, Amen, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of *God.
6 What is born of the flesh is flesh; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said to thee, Ye must be born from above.
8 The Spirit breatheth where he willeth, and thou hearest his *voice, but knowest not whence he cometh, and whither he goeth: so is everyone *born of the Spirit.
