Losing my relationship with God

I feel far from God. Scared of losing God yet so inept at keeping the relationship going. I can't be a good christian. Fall far short. The problem - find it hard to trust God or myself thus resulting in a failure of relationship over and over. I can only try hard but not sure I'll ever be what God wants me to be.

Alas, there it is...the rollercoaster ! (Sorry to be a misery folks)

Oh Sleepy, I want to give you a hug.

I too feel an absolute failure at times, I mean I really fall short, And I actually have said it out allowed, especially when I haved messed up royaly, that I am a useless Christian. ... but this is where God's love and Grace comes in. We must allow ourselves to accept God's forgiveness and beautiful Grace and not listen to the lies of satan. Also when we are trying to be the good Christian on our own strength it is inevitable that we will fail, we are human and fleshly and just can't do it alone. When we rely on the strength of the Holy Spirit, He can lift us up and help us to fly as if on eagle's wings.
And God will never leave or forsake us, He is always there right by our side it is us who distance ourselves.

Read Psalms, David's heart is pouring out to God, I love this guy. Here is a man just like us, who messes up. We need to pray just like him.

Psalm 51:10 "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and
renew a steadfast spirit within me."

Websters definition of Steadfast=not wavering, firm, fixed, settled.

I just want to encourage you to keep on keeping on and a true Christian is going to feel and experience what you are going through. And as brothers and sisters in Christ we must exhort and encourage one another not to ever give up.

We all have these experiences when we feel that we are losing it.....a master ploy of our enemy, angel of light, roaring lion......but we are aware of such.....We have to "Stand up Stand up for Jesus, you soldier of the cross, Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss......."

Sleepy don't feel alone in this, as we are all on that rollercoaster ride and I was only thinking the same as you this week too. One minute I am spiritual blessed and the next minute I am down in the dumps.

God promises to stay involved through the life-long process of spiritual growth.

Phi 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Jesus is the source of spiritual growth.

Col 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
Col 2:7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Keep strong, fix your eyes on Jesus and follow in his footsteps.

Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

We all experiance times of "dryness" and I know by my experiance that it seems so lonely and that He is not there. I promise you He is... His call may be so faint but its there...His touch may feel too soft to feel...but its there. Right now He is holding you whispering softly that He is still there !!

oh Kathy, sweet sis, dont worry someone really evil is trying to mess with you . . .trying to tell you that your not worth it. . .Our GOD loves us sooooooooo much He created us in His image to have fellowship with us . . .He gave us our own free will to choose freely to turn back to Him knowing we would be tempted and sin,sin,sin . . .He offered us the cross, the only way back to Him through the great sacrifice becoming our-sin-payer. . .and He, our God forgives us our trespasses because of Jesus, who died for our mess-ups. . .and God promised to be there for us, love us, carry us where it gets hard follow His ways. . .Kathy re-focus on who Jesus is for you. . .Do you know Him? Have you asked God to forgive you and have you accepted Jesus dying on the cross for you and your livestyle, your sins, your mess-ups?

Im sure you have and you also have heard the Gospel/ the good News from God and His love for us through Jesus many many times already. . .you have accepted and received Jesus and you know what:

In Gods books: The deal is eternal!!! He will never drop you or forsake you . . .just as calluna said Print Callunas post for ya and meditate on those words that came straight from her heart for you . . .I believe God spoke to you very loving and clear in her post
