I'm seeking the truth about God.
I don't believe that people should make money on the word of God!
It's a gift that should be shared FREELY!!
I pray that I find a community that agrees with that.

(2Peter2:3)
New International Version
In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

God, knows and sees what is going on! No one escapes their due penalties. Just “Come out from among them and be ye separate”❤️

Yes we have to use discerning. Small church better definitely. I have never been attracted to the large, like hillsong, etc. Prosperity teaching.. Ugh.
I say noone should be given more money than that they show they can handle. There should not be just one person, and there should be total transparency.

Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that HE IS A REWARDER of them that diligently
seek him."

1 John 2:26-27 "These things have I written unto you concerning them that would seduce you. But the anointing which ye have received of him (Holy Ghost Baptism) abideth IN YOU, and ye need not that a man should teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of ALL THINGS, and is TRUTH, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him."

The "churches" these days seem to make disciples of themselves. I used those verses to show you that YOU ALONE should seek your Father and let HIM reward YOU with understanding of HIMSELF and HIS SON, and everything else that he will teach you. It will take time so patience is indeed a virtue.

The true Church of Jesus Christ do not make disciples unto themselves they only point the way to the only begotten SON whom they have a relationship with.

Jeremiah 33:3 "Call unto me and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."
Do this and keep doing this until you think you just can't take any more and do it again.

The assembling ourselves together should be to exhort one another and make sure that all are taken care of. If you find a community like that fine. But remember your
relationship is personal and private and will lead to revelation that will not always agree with what the "church" teaches. They love those that show up and sing with
them as it causes them to feel justified in their idea that what they are doing is right. So test the spirits once he has shown you the truth.

Ministry is something God does THROUGH YOU.
Maturity is something God does TO YOU.

Better to have no ministry and be matured than to have a ministry and remain a babe.

Lastly: Psalms 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God:........." Learn to listen to that still small voice from within.

That's very wise words. That's how He's working with me. He's made me aware of the wheat and the tar, that it has to be this way, until the end. In every church. That's what He said. Unfortunately, the tar whip the wheat. Some are better churches. The large ones are more uncontrolled. So, you're right, it's personal. What the church does wrong is to not expel the evil.
Like late pastor Wilkinson said, God bless him, none are talking about repentance, about sin, about the things of God anymore and that's why there are so much trouble. He's right.

Your thread title:

Lost faith in churches

Im glad that you have for we have never been told to have faith in churches but rather in Jesus Christ our Lord.

He will indeed lead you to the right church or gathering of the Lords people if it is His will for you

This is absolutely against the grain of what the new testament teaches. The Bible never never never encourages the faithful to distance themselves from the fellowship of believers. Nowhere is the faithful christian life described as personal or private.

Remove the bits of the new testament that pertain to the corporate christian life and there's not much left.

Its those that depart fellowship that are in the greatest danger of going astray.

I think the meaning was how it could be like in church not to not go.

Your welcome. And always remember your fight is not with the evil outside yourself it is the evil WITHIN YOU that must FIRST BE ERADICATED. Think on that a bit.

Well Paul say our fight is against powers in the air, principalities etc.. So, it's clearly not just within.
We have, of course, the sin nature, the tainted part of the dna. The dark bit, that is highly used by evil. And our own tendency. As well as resistance from outside.

My comments to the poster were for them to establish a very strong relationship with the Lord first.
I think you forget that Paul dwelt in the desert for many many years between missions and even in prison for some time, as well Johns exile to the Isle of Patmos was
a lonely journey that produced the greatest Revelation of his life.

Yes you can be a Christian and not go to church, in that you don't loose your salvation just because. But not to just avoid just like that. But if you go to myself I'm church less, and God still came for me. I have been to several dead churches, where I left crying. Abusive. So, I'm definitely careful. For not talk about God showed me that the 4th command still stands.

It's true its in your most lonely planet moment you come near. It really is true. That's when I realise that your salvation does not stand with a membership.

Indeed YOU ARE THE CHURCH, the Church can only assemble together. But Church is in session 24/7 everywhere you go.

AMEN to that.

It's an extremely SMALL flock.
I believe you're right. Just like God said. God knows I'm sincere. I keep saying to him to show, to help, to take anything that isn't good. And I say not because I think of heaven, even I do, but because I don't want to be evil. I even tell him I feel sorry for him having to endure. Just love him. What he stands for. I always have. I see clearly now how evil tried to stop me. Heck, even tried to kill me recently. Through a client at work. God saved me at the right moment I escaped. When I returned home, scared, I opened the bible, and there I read something like how he saves you out of the trap and violence and what I understand as knives, which was involved, were in the verse. That was tremendous powerful. He literally saved me.
So yes, the flock is little.

Would it surprise you if I told you that he set that up to let you SEE HIM better, and increase YOUR FAITH?
