I especially love to play soccer! I'm pretty good and I think I can be a really good player if I keep at it. What I also love as much as soccer is drawing. I'm decent and I want to become an artist one day, but my only problem is that I don't have as much a knack for art than soccer. But that's where it's fun because it is a challenge. I also like to write, but I'm not quite that good. Oh well, I still like doing it! :star:

1. Being a "watchtower" so to speak lol over Talk Jesus (human sense, of course GOD is THE protector)

2. Playing guitar / writiing (been a long time though)

3. Weightlifting (fun fun fun!)

4. Running my business online

Collecting is great...I have too many "dust collectors, as my mom would say", but it is a lot of fun. Most of my collections are antiques and dated/limited editions of glassware[esp.creamer/sugar sets], March of Dimes Beanie Animals(Christmas and Easter), Chick-fil-A beanies, and snowmen. I have had a great time visiting antique stores/malls and been amazed at what people will collect and find of interest.

Tanya, I would like to learn to knit as well. I can crochet, but never seem to have time for it anymore...

Fun Hobbies

There never seems to be enough time for hobbies, but before computers and the media, I think people had hobbies like going fishing, camping, hiking, nature watching, drawing, writing, more so. Hobbies are a way to get rid of stress these days. The gym is a classic example. My 'stress relief' hobby is cooking. I think I'm a chef making a master recipe. I love making authentic food with fresh ingredients treated with love. My dream if I won lotto would be to have a big house as a refuge for people who needed a home and be self sufficient with gardens, chooks etc. I also love music. I just got a mini ipod. I'm currently listening to The Blind Boys Of Alabama and Gospel music. Not a lot of the 'Christian' pop/rock songs have much appeal for me. Many of the artists seem to get caught up in the self glory and you find yourself looking at them, not the Word. I'm open to suggestions for any music recommendations.
Reading my bible is ultimately the most rewarding hobby I have. I just ordered a new bible on Amazon. Its The Life In The Spirit Study Bible KJV. I can't wait to get it.
Oh and TJ is my new hobby, surfing the net.
Enough about me..what hobbies does everyone else have?

oooooooooh pinatas are cool. i made some before, and my dad makes them all the time, well for holiday and great events anyways. the kids love helping dad with it. it's fun. hehe, especially watching people breaking it. GOd bless, try it sometime

Tanya, one thing i hate about pinyatas is that u spend all that time making it look good, then someone else gets the joy of breaking it. :thumbs_do

but they are a lot of fun to break if u didnt make them :thumbs_up

I collect peoples drawings of themselves and stick them on my wall (doodle sized pics). Rather like a visitors signing in book, but it's a piece of art on my wall. A living piece of art really as it's always being added to. I love it!

Makes me sound a little strange when i read it back. You'd have to see it and then you'd get it i think (loVl)

lol Yegor, so true, but hey, same with cakes, look at how much time is spent to decorate it and then, all the hungry people out there come and devour (spelling i think)it. haha, lol, well yes, it's still fun, but then, that's the reason why i dont spend time making things look good when they wont be kept. oh yea, take a picture of it first before breaking it. lol, well ok, later, bye bye

my Hobbies hmmmmmmmmmm

I have enjoyed reading these posts in here. It has inspired me to think about my hobbies.

1. I love to hang out with friends. (Hard to do now with everyone all over the US.

2. Playing my trumpet a hobby I just recently returned to to the regret of my hubby hehe.

3. I like to try new thinks craft wise. I am creative but not talented. NOt a good combo. My mom is a good artist so I feel silly trying.

4. I LOVE to walk.

That's about it.
