managing money

I struggle with managing money and from my mishandling I have put my family into serious debt. I have had to pay for extra credit cards that I got. I have been trying to solve the problem by chasing after the lottery thinking that if I just hit the lottery then all my debts will be over and my household will be back to normal. Not, it just leads me back to more debt.
I pray to God and I sometimes feel that he don't hear my prayers, but I hear a Bishop say on the tbn station the God no is not a denial but a delay. I don't know where to begin with reading the bible. i mostly read Ps: or Job. What do I do to walk this christian journey on the right side and not the wrong side.

I pray to God and I sometimes feel that he don't hear my prayers

It is by faith that we know God hears our prayers, he does because he says he does, even when we don't feel like he does because we feel so rotten. He hears you because you are his child and he loves you and will never leave you.

sometimes can be a delay yes but also sometimes can be a no too.

I don't know where to begin with reading the bible. i mostly read Ps: or Job

This is a great place to read. I try and pick a daily reading book with short thoughts in it just to follow and get you thinking

What do I do to walk this christian journey on the right side and not the wrong side.

Follow what the bible says and what God says to you by his Spirit as you get to know him, he will lead you. His Spirit lives within you and He will make you aware of the boundaries in your relationship with God

It will take a hard slog and time to get this clear again, but your family will see someone who is working hard to correct the mistakes and take this family into ballance and healthy money management. I wonder if there is a local pastor you could see to come along side you in your task.

I feel the same way as wkinchen.
I just really feel like I can't get a head. I haven't resorted to gambling yet but the temptation is there.
Sometimes I wonder if i'm still able to hear God. I pray for him to help me manage the bills but there are still hot checks and late fees...
how do you step out on faith if you have bill collectors hounding you?
I am reading the bible and having private meditation. still i feel worth less because now it's the holidays and I can't give on His day.
