For me, Melania in her role as First Lady has always impressed me with her dignity and grace. I miss seeing ladies wearing hats in church, which most did when I was young. I loved the wide-brimmed hat Melania wore for the inauguration. I was also pleased to read that her dress and hat both were from American designers, NOT France! Some comments I read about her outfit I quote in agreement.
"She looked stunning, so classy. I loved the hat, it made her stand out and gave her gravitas."
"I thought she looked incredibly elegant and graceful. That style of hat has to be worn as she wore it. The alternative would be to perch it on the back of her head which would have looked ridiculous...."
To that last comment, I wonder if anyone saw the embarrassment of the Marine at the door of the White House who had his hat perched on the back of his head, in such a cocky fashion. I noticed he wore it properly the next time I saw him at the door.
