Greetings dear members from the UK

I am travelling to the UK with my youngest two children in February, God willing.

Tell me about places to visit between Skegness in the north down to Guildford in the south.

What would you do with an 11 and 8 year old.

We will be travelling from the heat of Australiam summer (around 40° today) to the English winter. Brrrr it will be a culture shock.

Looking forward to some replies

Blessings grace and peace

Hi Fragrant Grace,

I am not much use to you, for I live in S.Wales, and have not travelled a great deal in that area, but you will find a great deal of help in the visitor centres in each region. Windsor comes to mind of course with it's royal residence in the Castle there.

I hope you and your two children have a lovely time here in the UK. :)

Within the love of Christ our Saviour,
our Lord and Head.
Risen and glorified.

London, London, London! Get to see a West End show if you can. There's often free concerts at lunchtimes if you take a bit of time to seek them out. There's the big attractions like Buckingham Palace, Tower of London etc, but it's also worth exploring the multicultural corners such as Brixton, Brick Lane. The museums are amazing. Or just explore the south bank of the river - if you follow your noses and investigate everything that looks interesting I'll swallow up a day easily. Guided river and bus tours are pricey, but a great way to get a sense of the city quickly. Take a black cab and ask the cabbie about the meaning of life.
