On Friday this week, my wife received a call from her sister who lives in Walker California. She was very very upset because her 39-year-old daughter was released from the Hospital, they told her there was nothing more medical science could do to help her, and they recommended that she be put in hospice
" I can see why her mother was upset.
My wife and I knew we needed to go where they were which was 360 mile trip. When we got to my sister in laws daughter's house and went inside there were no happy faces there except a young 10-year-old boy. He smiled the whole time we were there. It was almost like he knew something we didn't.
My wife and I told her that she needed Jesus in her life, and she agreed without question as her life was very near the end. I told her a lot of people hear about Jesus and just know yep, Jesus died for the world, but never encounter him as Lord to them. She said she wanted Jesus to be in her heart but did not know how to do it. I quoted a few scriptures so she would have faith to believe and then we prayed with her.
Next I showed her a scripture that says, "Is any sick amount you let them call for the elders of the Church, and let anoint them with oil praying over them, and the prayer of faith will save the sick, and if they have committed any sins it shall be forgiven them."
OK "Cayla" let us be obedient to God and do what this scripture says. My wife and I prayed for her anointing her with oil, and when we were done her face had completely changed, and she was smiling even all of her 5 children were also there. Did she get instantly healed? I don't know as we did not hang around to see. I used my faith in coming to her and now it was up to her faith to hold fast to the faith that she received by hearing the Gospel.
The next day an 85-year-old man heard about what happened to Cayla and he wanted to receive Jesus too. We went over to his house and I said to "Bob" what was this man's name. I said, "Bob, people who have eternal life only have it because of God's "grace" Saved by grace through faith......
I told Bob "grace" is God giving you something that you do not deserve, but to get "grace" requires you to have faith. Dont worry Bob because faith to get saved does not come from you, it only comes by hearing the Gospel
I quoted to Bob Romans 10:9-10. Bob, now you have faith to believe not in your head, but in your heart. There were five other people there so we all knelt prayed and asked Jesus to forgive us of our sins and we believed Jesus was raised from the dead. Bob had tears in his eyes when we were done.
The same day my wife I and went back home rejoicing all the way home that the Lord allowed us to be a co-worker together with Him in what he had done.
To me, and my wife we saw two miracles....
