Greetings,

Talk Jesus needs some new moderators. Please read the below carefully.

To Qualify

Reply with the following information (be clear and descriptive please)

  • brief, clear detail of what you believe in, your statement of faith
  • your physical location (Country / Timezone)
  • your computer and Internet skills
  • how often do you visit Talk Jesus?
  • your views, motives and goals on Talk Jesus
  • explain why you feel you should be a moderator
  • your age
Basic Requirements:
  • Computer skills
  • Commitment (time, patience)
  • One year as a member
  • At least 200 forum posts
Note

I ask God to guide me with His Holy Spirit in all my decisions and team assistance from current moderators. Do not feel offended if you are not chosen.

Keep This in Mind

Talk Jesus is a precious "rock", GOD's online church, ministry and awesome community for all to fellowship. You should and must ask GOD for guidance yourself as well to see if He finds you right for a moderator position.

This is a responsibility not a simple task. Ask GOD for wisdom, guidance and armor. You need patience in this position, wisdom, true devotion to GOD and to His online church here at Talk Jesus. If you feel even slightly not "100%" about this it is best to not reply and apply.

1 Corinthians 4:1-3
The Ministry of Apostles

This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.

Moderator Statement of Commitment

A Moderator position is one of accountability and commitment. Being a Moderator for sake of status is not the Lords will, nor is it helpful to the plans at Talk Jesus. Moderators must take this responsibility as a servant, committed to the cause of Christ while in the same way being committed to the order set in place by the leader of Talk Jesus.

Ask yourself the following questions

  1. Do I believe in God and Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior and am I ready to serve Him in his house of meeting.
  2. Am I willing to continue in prayer for Gods will to be followed out in all areas of Talk Jesus, and maintain support for all Gods appointed leaders in prayer and deeds?
  3. Am I ready to commit my time to moderating Talk Jesus as a service unto God.
  4. Am I willing to accept all the guidelines set before me by the chosen leader at Talk Jesus knowing that his is not a self appointed position, but one established by God himself?
  5. Will I be pure and Christ like in all my actions, to be completely devoted in this manner as Christ taught me?
  6. Am I living a godly lifestyle, one not to be a stumbling block to fellow moderators and members in the body of Christ?
Rules and Standard for Moderating

Moderating this site is so members here will be allowed to openly share Jesus Christ without the threat of evil conduct interfering with the ability to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a free environment. The goal of appointing 12 Moderators to Talk Jesus is both biblical in its responsibility, but also needed in the daily task of this web site.

Jesus Christ appointed 12 Apostles to walk with and learn the truth of the gospel so the 12 could further the truth after he was finished his mission here on earth. But, when Jesus sent the Apostles out to minister, he sent them out two at a time , to pray and watch over each other in their service . When Jesus was here, the Apostles had all they needed. But Jesus also said that a day will come when they will need each other because he would go ahead and prepare a place for them in his Fathers house.

Mark 3:14
And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach

The reason for 12 now is so we as part of the 12 can have Godly counsel, and also stand under accountability to each other before the Father in Heaven. This accountability includes equal parts in the task of Moderating Talk Jesus. As a Moderator , we all must put in the time needed to allow us all to have our times of rest and prayer /family / vacations /etc.

Moderation of Talk Jesus is a ministry! It should be treated as such! This is a 24/7 Christian fellowship. It also needs to be tended to 24/7 by at least 1 or 2 moderators at all times.

These are just some guidelines to follow so that all the Moderators will be fresh in their Spirits, and able to handle personal responsibilities.

Everything comes and goes in seasons, moderating is no different.

Ecclesiastes 3:1
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven

The commitment to be a moderator is a team commitment before God. We are one body, the church. We must become accountable to each other and equally responsible for serving God and Talk Jesus .

Thank you in advance for all of you at Talk Jesus

Your Brother in Christ,
Chad

I have moderated a Ducati Racing forum once. Doing TJ would be an honor and a privilege ; however , I don't have 200 posts or a year as a member. My love and passion for Christ and His Truth are greater then my computer skills but I would be willing to take on the challenge.

If the Lords leads , or if ya get desperate, consider me.

Father God, I pray you give Chad discernment in all these matters. I pray you send godly people who are mature enough to handle such important roles on this forum. I pray you give them wisdom, patience, love, and perseverance to moderate this forum Your way. In Jesus' name I pray...

Brother Chad,

I admire your dedication to others in the body of Christ by working to maintain an online atmosphere that they can meet in. I enjoy the fellowship with those brothers and sisters in Christ that I have met since coming a short time ago. I know that our Father will lead and guide you into all truth and that includes who should be appointed to moderate the forum. You have shown the roles of moderator in similarity to those of the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that the Lord will reveal unto you his choice of moderators to be appointed in there proper positions.

In Jesus Name,

Gary

Thank you for your posts. Still open positions as no decisions made yet. If you feel Spirit led to be a moderator and you meet the requirements, please apply.

As much as I admire the 1 Timothy 4:12 verse,
after praying about it, I feel I have more to learn.
Maybe in the near future when you look again,
I will be more qualified and more pushed by His Spirit
to apply. :)

Praying for all those who apply to be led by God and the holy spirit and really think about it first.

Blessings to TJ and offcourse you Chad!

Brother Chad in Christ, point 1. I believe the Word of God as stated by the Word of God,I present this and not my own opinion as to add or take away from the Gospel presented.I am a full believer and a servant to the Word of God,and to all here on TalkJesus.

My goal is to reconcile all of us to a closer walk with our Jesus,( 2 cor 5:18-21)who I believe is God in the flesh.I believe in all of the gifts of God as well, but push this on no one. The main purpose is to get others to read his Word more and more each, and decide for themselves how they best can serve our Lord in there own lives.

I believe as we serve others, we serve our Jesus better, and find what love truly means for each of us here.2. I live in Northville Michigan, Eastern standard time zone. I have what I would call good computer skills,I do not always spell correctly but do have a Oxford desk dictionary which I look at often as needed.

Words are oh so important to me,and I never wish another brother or sister to ever stumble because I was to lazy to correctly write a word.I do proof read everything before writing.Next I am on this site at least 5 nights a week, usually 6 or 7. I do not always join into the chat, because at times I am not led to.

I pray every time before I come on here. This site is that important to me. My views motives and goals. I do my very best to show Jesus Christ in me rather then my flesh. I believe the wisdom of the Lord in me,is a gift from our Lord. ( 1 cor 1:30) At times many wish to speculate on things in the Word. This is fine, but I do not.

If I cannot show the Word to help another, then I just leave it alone.( 2 Tim 2:23) Motives-To get each and everyone here to open there Bible while they are here. To read,to build another up,yes to love, even as Jesus first loved us.( 1 john 4:19) Also it is so very impotant never to cause another to stumble here in any way,nor will I.

If I have that power,no one will be allowed to hurt another or there faith in Jesus.( mark 4:24) If someone comes on with a question, fine, but if someone comes on here mocking the Lord and his Word they get one warning, there is no second warning.

I believe if they do not follow the first time, they will not follow the second time either. That person shall be removed from the Household of faith until they talk to the head of this site, which is Brother Chad.Brother Chad will decide if this person can return.

I will abide by his authority at all times, along with my fellow moderators and will always seek there wisdom in Christ as well! My goal- To make Jesus exciting to everyone here!! To excite them for the faith,to cause a pause,a reflection in the mirror of our lives. To consider how important Jesus Christ is to each one of us,and how best we,his Body can help another in need here.

And finally,to not just speak love, but show love to all here.I am first a servant,I shall never forget this,I have been called to be one,and look to be an example to all here as well in this. We follow what we truly believe, all here are more important then I am! I only look to add to the joy of the Lord, which is our very strength!( Nehemiah 8:10) I have been in prayer over being a moderator for many days now,I also received a sign to this just yesterday,as I asked the Lord to have Brother Chad write me to consider this. Brother Chad did write me at around 2pm this afternoon, which made this to me a confirmation I should become one.

I am 58 years in flesh,36 years in Christ! Jesus is alive in me,and many here can testify to that. I boast not in myself,I boast in the wonderful Love Jesus has for all here! My expression to all here is always one of thanksgiving!! I am so honored to be a part of what Jesus through Brother Chad has done, and is doing! And by his grace,I shall always continue in for you all.( 1 cor 1:4-9) Blessing to you!

Chad thanks for asking.
I have to pray about it. At the same time I'll be praying for you and the others to be guided by the Holy Spirit in making this decision.

Application

Hi Chad, Thank you for this opportunity for us to serve God through talkJesus. I want Him to use me more in this site. I know that this is a big responsibility & will require total commitment. Here is my application and may God's will be done. :)

Statement of Faith
I believe in God and His Word.
He is our creator, perfect and holy.
I believe in His son Jesus Christ who died for our sins and rose on the third day, He is the Son of God, 100% God and became 100% man to save us from the penalty of eternal death.
I believe in the Holy Spirit that we receive through our faith in Jesus, that helps us lead a Christ-like life.
I believe that there is no other way to be saved but only through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Physical Location / Timezone
Philippines GMT +8:00

Computer and Internet Skills
I am very computer literate, knows basic troubleshooting on PC, digital editing softwares and others. Also knows a lot in the internet, social sites, blogging CSS codes, helpful sites.

How often I visit talkJesus
Almost daily, I lurk and read posts.. except on Sundays. I have printing shop we are open Monday-Saturday, and Im online everyday, TalkJesus is a must once I open the internet, like checking emails. If we are too busy doing orders, I might not be online for a day or two.

My Views. Motives & Goals
I have always considered this site as a home & a church, there would be difficult times in my spiritual life and God would always use this place to get me back up, by talking to fellow Christians all over the world, receiving instant prayers & sharing thanksgiving to them too. I have seen a lot of Christian sites but nothing compares to TalkJesus, not in terms of the look of the website or advancement, but when it comes to spirituality, I believe and have attest that this site is led by the Lord, the moderators, the users and threads. I have experienced amazing friendship with some members that makes me so grateful everytime I visit this place. I have cried countless times, by getting responses and reading heartfelt stories, or simply being blessed by daily devotions and greetings on the shoutbox.

I cannot imagine this site closing up, and I want to help keep it up, I want God to use me more, make me continually grow in this place. I would see rude post sometimes and it hurts me, but I know God will be in control.

My goal is to lead people to know about this place and to help preserve the quality of moderation, staying true to the statement that this is a place for serious and real Christians and for those who seek Him.

They say there is a war out here in the internet, that it is worldly and sinful, but if satan's got his army all over the world wide web, I want to be an army of God to lead people towards Him. I believe that this is more worth it to 'share' and 'like'. So since I am on the computer everyday, I might as well invest my time helping-keeping this place nice & tidy. I noticed too that during day time in here, there are usually no moderators online, (its night time probably in the US) while its my free time at work when its afternoon, usually there arent much customers. I want to use that time for tJ instead of other things.

Why I feel I should be a moderator
A few years back when I first saw this at the press stand, I prayed deeply to the Lord. Ask some sister here also to pray for me too. I am not 100% sure about it so I never pass any application. And it has been on my prayer list yearly, I want to be ready, I want it to be His will, I also dont want it for the sake of being a moderator, but I want Him to make me realize how important this is and that this is a privilege not a right. And finally after all those years of prayer, God made a clear message, now I am confident enough to try and yet still ready not to be chosen. Let it be His will.

Age
I am 24 turning 25 this 20th. :P

Jiggyfly and I became moderators at the same time in 2005 when you asked for moderators. I worked hard as one but then my computer broke. I was so sad. So when I saw that you needed moderators I thought that maybe you could help me access my Wittywriter account and I could resume as a moderator. I hae been a Christian for 9 years and am on all the time.

Hello Brighthouse.

Now there is a good choice for a moderator.

He delivers from the heart.
